"The night manager Teddy Tang was so helpful when I checked in late at night. He is friendly, courteous and very considerate. The manager in the morning Emily Lou is such a professional in hospitality. The entire staff worked as a team to make customers feel happy and comfortable. They are an asset to IHG. I will definitely recommend to my friends and colleagues ."
"First thing I noticed when arriving at Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre is very nice short drive-way direct to the main entrance, under covered. Check-in was smooth and fast. Staff was courteous and helpful, speaking excellent English as well.
The room was quite big, with a small balcony. Very clean, comfortable, and well furnished with all the small items found in a luxury hotel. Rooms was serviced and stocked-up everyday. There was an award winning Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor with very nice foods and at a reasonable prices. Service was also excellent. Breakfast and western meal are at 2nd floor - great variety of choices for the buffet breakfast.
The location of the hotel was just nice for us, as it is just 300-400m away from a very nice food street and big food court with many many types of choices. It was also very easy to get a taxi or Didi to / from the hotel as they all knew where it is.

"5min from the station. I stayed only a couple of hours as my flight landed late and early departure.
The lift to the room was a bit of surprise but the room is big and clean.
I loved they have a tea set ( literary the set with the heater for cups), that was a nice surprise.

"This is a wonderful hotel and the staff are very kind. The early 20th C modernist architecture has been lovingly respected and restored, and interiors are modernized without eye-sore. What a treasure! And a surprise from initial photos to see a twin building facing the hotel building. The historical area around has amazing old wood buildings, with lattice windows and carved shutters, all lit up at night, with myriad food places and shops and hundreds of people milling around, dancing, taking photos is fancy outfits, and more. The only thing that would have added to hear perfection at the Moon & Chalice would be a coffee and breakfast corner in the lobby or the first floor. "

Other good hotel amenities are the 3 spacious lounges equipped with a game table and a gym. There is also a luggage room for storing luggage while travelling to nearby cities for short trips, which is handy for overseas travellers.
The hotel is situated within a 10- 15-minute taxi ride to the CBD and within walking distance to a subway station, which is great. Across the road, there is a side street filled with street food hawkers.
We would recommend anyone wanting to stay in a nostalgic hotel with easy access to the subway and not far from the city."
"Second time staying here, THE place to stay in Kunming. Cheap for what you get, you get more than what you pay for, and the breakfast is excellent. Gym is good too, for a hotel gym.
Will stay here again, so should you."
