Staff was great, the room is compacr but has all the necessities except a closet (a small rack above the microwave/ coffee maker area). It was clean and good location (just a mile or so from our party we were going to).

Good economy stay at Napa. It’s motel style so if you are looking for something like the name brand hitel, this is not the place. It is just a place to sleep since you will be out all day exploring all the wineries and restaurants. The amenities are also a bit old and simple. Friendly staff and they also have tickets to free wine tasting at some local wineries.

Really not worth $300 for a night. Its more of a roadside motel than a lodge. The person who photographed this place did a great job, as it really doesn't look like this. The room was basic and disappointing (for $300) During our visit to napa we bought some cheeses and smoke salmon from a winery, to have for lunch. When we got it out of the fridge, it was all frozen solid.

Everything seems good but when we went to get in bed there was no fitted sheet so we slept in clothes to not sleep on the mattress pad cover and all the stuff shifted every time you moved. It was disappointing as I had stayed here previously

Agreeable man who checked us out. I think we just have different ideas of what is acceptable level for cleanliness. Dirt was lining the inside of the shower curtain. Hair on shower stall wall. Friends in another room decide to forgo the shower in their room. Gap under the door to outside. Minimal decor. Again the staff was pleasant - we may just have different standards. Surprised that the price was so high considering the condition of the room. We were located to the downtown which was a plus.

Worst experience ever, old building, zero maintenance. Restroom for didn’t close, AC didn’t work, Expensive for what they offer. Don’t visit this place ever in your life.

This property is over priced for what you get. The rooms were not clean. Dead bugs in the the ceiling lights. Mold in the bathroom. The bathroom door was filthy with dirt. Auto mechanic shops border tge property.

This motel was so dirty, there was no toilet paper in the room. I had to wake up staff who I’m assuming owns the motel to get toilet paper. There’s no tissue in the room no bedside lamp. You only have the overhead bright light. There were dirty towels left in the room. A hole in the bathroom door. I could go on and on, but I would not stay at this place. We were desperate and only needed one night. The rooms were just really broken down and if it would’ve been clean, I probably would’ve given maybe three stars but I mean the walls were dirty. It was just gross.

It's a basic 2 star hotel, but the staff was nice. The room were very very small but clean. You could stay at nicer places, and you can also pay way more (especially in September/October).

I love the garden area and rooms were clean. Downtown Napa is also very near by. However, my first room had issues with tub drainage. We were moved to a different room and the controller for the TV was low on battery.

This place is a classic motel, probably from the 60s or 70s. It was decently clean, the bed was alright. Small bathroom was sufficient but the tub did not drain at all. It made do for one night. I think you have to move up significantly in price to get something a bit better.

Overall it was nice. Only 2 complaints. One is that it was smaller than we thought and two the drain in the sink and shower took a long time to drain.

It was basic but had a very bad, musky smell coming from the sink and bath tub. It was fairly clean and quiet so that was good. I wouldn’t spend $200 a night here though. I think it’s worth more like $65-$100 tops!

Never staying here again
I didn’t expect much at this price but they misrepresent the quality of this place. Paid for a double queen room and got 2 full size, the closet was a foot wide, blocked side of the bed so you had to climb in from the foot edge, doors and walls dirty.A/C took a long time to cool the room down. Amenities are a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker tower. Clerk tried to sell us a “Love Lock” for $40 (cash only) that you could attach to something in the garden or anywhere around town. The garden is right up against the street. When we pointed out that we reserved a double Queen room and the beds were clearly not queen size the clerk explained that because we got the room for cheap on the internet we got last choice of rooms. I guess it is our fault they offered the price and I got a discount through a membership so it doesn’t matter if they honor the reservation. The info book describes having a basket of water and snacks and custom murals in each room…. Nope. Walls looked like they were sponge painted in the 80’s and there were just 2 bottles of water in a wire basket. It was quiet and seemed safe, thankfully since the deadbolt was broken.

Stayed here for a concert at the Oxbow, it was very affordable, basic hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff. My one big complaint was the AC in our room didn’t work, it was more or less just a fan.

This was a great location to stay in Central Napa and very close to restaurants. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Chardonnay Lodge.
