Great View

If you are looking for an ocean view this is the place to stay. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant too. The property was close to snorkeling and other attractions.

The property was great. Very spacious and clean. Loved having beach access right there and a restaurant. The views from the balcony was spectacular! Check in and out was a breeze and took less than 10 minutes for each! I will say that the washer and dryer didn't work well. Washer didn't clean all that well and the dryer took a very long time and multiple cycles to get the towels dry. We would stay here again, in a heartbeat!

Beautiful View

Overall, the place was very good. The view is amazing, and everything was functional. Great communication from the property management team. The location is good, and the on-site restaurant was convenient. Price was reasonable. The only negatives are that the property is a bit dated and has a few minor deferred maintenance issues that were fairly easy to ignore. I'll probably try to stay somewhere newer / more luxurious next time.

Beautiful condo with amazing view

I highly recommend this condo for your stay in Maui. Very spacious condo, perfect for my family of 5. Very clean, the hosts were very responsive! We loved hearing the ocean at night and in the morning seeing the whale spouts right off the lanai, and perfect for viewing the sunset. The amenities were so nice, we made use of the pool, the beach and the pickle ball courts. Can't wait to go back to Maui and stay in this condo again.

Paradise

We have been to Sands of Kahana twice now and the entire property is beautiful! We were here for 6 days during the rebuilding of the restaurant but they tried very hard to keep all other amenities free and clear. The condo itself was just perfect! We kept things clean, took out the trash regularly and saw no little critters! Great weather, beautiful night skies and perfect location. Thank you for being so seamless to work with-we absolutely loved our stay!♥️♥️

Relaxing getaway

I loved waking up to the beautiful blue-green ocean, the sound of the waves, and the cute bird visitors on the lanai. Prior to our arrival we stocked up on food from Costco which gave us the flexibility of enjoining our own home-cooked meals. We made our own smoothies, had breakfast as we wanted. Plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils. One morning we did have breakfast at Captain Jacks which is located near the pool. The food was great!The one issue was tripping on the track of the partition wall. We had to put the throw rug over the track to keep reminding us it was there. Overall, plenty of room to spread out and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would do it again in a heartbeat. Loved it!!Thank you for your hospitality and letting us stay at your place to enjoy the amazing beauty of Maui.

Fabulous family vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the condo and property. The condo was clean and had everything necessary to make our vacation perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, and the kids enjoyed the boogie boards and mask. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect location

The apartment is very spacious, great ocean view, well equipped in the kitchen, plenty of towels and sports equipment as well. We had a great time! Very clean, attentive property personnel. Perfect size pool and the beach was perfect. Definitely recommend it.

Sands of Kahana Stay

Very well kept property. It was exactly as described. Communication was excellent. We had a problem with the A/C the first day we were there but after we called it in, they went in a fixed it and it worked great when we got back later in the afternoon.

Beautiful property and very relaxing

I brought the kids up for a family ski weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay. The property is on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. Small pond, stream running thru, multiple firepits, and walking trail. The house is pretty basic, but lots of room. The pictures and description were accurate. Our host bent over backward for us when we forgot some things and was able to help out.

Great place

This place was great. It had beautiful views, was very clean, and in a great location. The price was much better the big name resorts. The rooms were very spacious . I was happily surprised to find a pack n play in one of the closets as I was planning to rent a crib which was over $100 for the week. My only complaints would be that the building and bathrooms were a little dated and there was not much shade outside . People were sitting shoulder to shoulder in lounge chairs under the tree by the beach area. Overall, I would definitely book again. We really enjoyed watching turtles and windsurfers from the balcony.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property at Sands of Kahana is the worst of several I have stayed in - many cockroaches, no remote for control of fan/overhead light in the master bedroom, linens were very old and shabby, big smudges on living room window, bathroom door off track,etc. Did anyone ever inspect this proprty?

Sands of Kahana

Building is a little over 40 years old. Our unit had a lot of new renovations. Kitchen primarily. Ocean front. Great views. Saw whales, turtles and marvelous sunsets from lanai. Stayed a month and adult children and spouses joined for various amounts of time. Did not have a car whole time but bus was convenient to use. Everyone was happy with the condo. Lucked out. Had maybe 5 minutes of rain the whole month.

The property is not as described. The elevator did not work the first or last day of our stay. Not pleasant taking luggage and groceries for a five day stay up six flights of stairs on the first day. Grandpa could not join us on some of our experiences because he could not manage the stairs while the elevator was out. He was stuck in the apartment when the AC did not work the first day and a half. AC is needed in spite of of management’s claims. Supplies were very sparse. We had to restock toilet paper on day three. To the next person that stays at the unit you’re welcome. There wasn’t even leftover paper goods from prior guess. The can opener was so chintzy we were sure it was gonna break while being used. The management is so cheap that they did not replace baseboards when putting in new tile floor.On a positive note, the view is exceptional and the unit is very spacious. We had a group of six consisting of three generations. Oh and you can see turtles when snorkeling in front of the building.
