Gemma was an excellent and gracious host. She was readily available with great communication. The accommodation was exactly as described. The room was comfortable and quiet. A note that the flat is on the 4th floor and there are no lifts so not quite suitable if travelling with heavy suitcases. The entry stairwell was also a bit dark but not unsafe. Thank you Gemma for a lovely stay!

Outstanding room, super comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Location was brilliant both for shopping and nightlife. The only drawback are the very steep stairs up to the rooms which are on the 3rd floor (it looks like building work for an elevator has started😀) Excellent location near Stazione di Montesanto, trains go directly to Pompei, also the Fenikulare to Castel Sant' Elmo. Excellent communication from Gemma the owner.

Gemma is a fabulous host! Great communication and she was there waiting for us when we arrived. The view from our accommodation was amazing (looking up at St Elmo’s Castle). Close to everything. Napoli Centrale train station 2 stops away. Would definitely recommend A casa di Gemma.

Lovely comfy bed, good sized clean bathroom. Fresh fruit and yoghurts for breakfast, plus packet croissants and white bread for toast. Muesli and extra seeds / nuts were amazing. Quiet location, but a bit difficult to locate in the dark when I arrived. 3 flights of steep steps got easier after a couple of days in heatwave. Didn't meet the host as all done through Whatsapp, but quick response to messages.

Gemma went above and beyond to help your stay be the best it could be. Gorgeous room, spotlessly clean, lovely view of the town. Lovely continental breakfast. Nice and quiet but close to all you need. The only minus was the stairs, I'm not in great shape and they were tough for me but I'm still glad we stayed here. It looks like a lift has started to be constructed but I have no facts on this. Back to Gemma on our last week she herself was on vacation but she still kept in touch and organised baggage carrying and a taxi for our return to the airport. Loved this holiday!

This is a great little place to use for a stay in Naples. It's fairly basic in its style, but in a city as noisy, dirty, chaotic and plain baroque as that, a little Scandi-lite simplicity is pretty welcome. The place is a few minutes' walk from Dante metro station, and only a but further from Toledo. There's loads of good places to eat down towards Toledo; and you're within an easy walk of all the places a tourist'd want to see. Gemma is a highly assiduous host; I didn't actually meet here - all our communication was by SMS - but she was very helpful and friendly. Any quibbles I have are minor - breakfast is left out, but it'd've been good to have a knife to spread the jam. (I know that there is none because people would "borrow" them, but still...) But as complaints go, this is really small beer. The only thing I would say is that it's not for those with mobility problems: the B&B is on the third floor, up sixty-seven steps, and they're not enormously well-lit. It looks like a lift is being installed, but it ain't there yet. If walking isn't your strong point, perhaps consider somewhere else. All things considered, I'd absolutely recommend this as a place to stay, and I'd certainly book it again were I planning another trip to Naples.

Honestly cannot fault this property. Was perfectly located, close to a metro station, but also easy to walk anywhere. Gemma was a wonderful host, who offered suggestions on what to do on my visit. She was also on hand if I had any issues. Wonderful stay for my first time in Naples

Clean, quiet, perfect spot to come back to after a day out and about in bustling Naples. Close to the metro, the funicular to Vomero and Via Toledo. Gemma is a wonderful hostess - super helpful. The only issue we had were the stairs, but in the end, climbing up them was a good way to digest pasta and pizza.

She went above and beyond—always kind, responsive, and full of thoughtful suggestions that made our stay smooth and unforgettable. The room was spotless, comfortable, and full of charm—perfetta per ricaricare le batterie after a full day exploring. The location is unbeatable—right in the Centro Storico, with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and Castel Sant’Elmo. It’s a fantastic home base for exploring all of Napoli, and the broader region of Campania and the Amalfi Coast. You’re within walking distance of three metro stations, including Dante, which makes getting around the city simple once you get oriented. Taxis can be hard to obtain directly from the property, so your best bet is to head to Dante Stazione to hail one easily. There’s also a vibrant food market just two minutes away, perfect for grabbing snacks or immersing yourself in the local scene. Naples is lively, layered, and full of personality—un’anima vivace. Take time to get your bearings, embrace the energy, and let the city pull you in. Die Unterkunft liegt zentral, vieles kann man fußläufig erreichen. Metrostationen sehr nahe. Sie ist sauber (Reinigung täglich), saniert und sehr ansprechend und modern eingerichtet. Die Umgebung ist ruhig, man taucht sofort in das neapolitanische Leben ein. Das Frühstück ist in Self-Service ok und gut ausreichend. Einfach perfekt! Die Gastgeberin kümmert sich sehr und ist sehr hilfsbereit; ich bekam zu Beginn Tipps zur Gestaltung des Aufenthaltes. Das einzige Manko ist eine gewisse Hellhörigkeit. Danke Gemma, für 5 tolle Tage beigetragen zu haben! Sollte ich wieder nach Napoli kommen, werde ich wieder A casa di gemma als Unterkunft wählen!!!
