Relax on the back deck and see the shadows fall over crystal clear Chalk Creek. All these wonderful activities are available ( and many, many more ) to you and your family at Cliffs & Stream Log Cabin.

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry soap.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

The Cliffs and Streams Cabin is the perfect mountain cabin to spend time with family. The cabin is so inviting and has everything we needed for our stay. The hosts are amazing and had great communication throughout our stay. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Weekend getaway

Piñon properties were very responsive and gave check in instructions as well as helpful tips before we arrived. The check-in process was easy. The host checked in on our stay by text and were very responsive. Overall, the house was clean although the dishes did need to be washed before using. Because of the location (mountains), we did see evidence of mice activity (droppings on the main bathroom counter and noise at night). It is a log cabin, so expect noises related to the logs. The coffee machine did not work for us and the host offered to bring us a new one. Because our stay was short (only 2 nights) we opted not to get another coffee maker. The kids loved the basement - very kid friendly and we enjoyed both balconies as well as the backyard patio and hammock. The main floor bedroom set is not as comfortable as the beds downstairs. We did enjoy watching VHS movies and bird watching. The washer and dryer allowed us to wash the towels for housekeeping as well as our swim suits for use at the hot springs.

Epic getaway

This property was just amazing, from the beautiful wooded setting and river views to the log cabin complete with fireplace, decks and walkout with outdoor fireplace.Without a doubt I’ll be back! Did I forget to mention it’s within a few minutes drive the Mt. Princeton resort?

We loved our stay at Cliffs and Streams. It was super clean and spacious and just overall a great experience. The only issue was spotty WiFi which has more to do with the location than anything. Highly recommend.

Great spot at base of Mt Princeton!

Lovely house in the woods, right on the stream and minutes from beautiful hikes and the Mt Princeton Hot Springs. 3 bedrooms with queen beds and attached baths, as well as bunk beds in the common area downstairs. Washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen. Multiple fireplaces, both gas and natural wood (which you can chop yourself outside!). Lots of games: foosball and mini pool inside, cornhole and horseshoes outside (both kid and adult versions). The WiFi is super weak and can't stream, so there are DVDs and video tapes available to watch instead. It is strong enough to load websites and maps, and to make phone calls if you stand in the right spot (seems stronger downstairs). There's no cell reception, so have your check-in info saved in advance! There are very limited dining options nearby, so bring your own food or expect to drive 15 mins to Buena Vista or 30 to Salida. Most restaurants stop serving at 9pm. Apparently you can usually drive over the Tincup Pass to Tincup/Taylor Park, but it's been raining so much the lake flooded the road! We went over the Cottonwood Pass from BV instead then rented UTVs to drive up to Tincup. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again.

Old friends getaway

The property is set in a great location next to Chalk Creek. The cabin is spacious an clean. It is great for a couple of families since each bedroom has its own bathroom and plenty of privacy. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. It is a property I would be glad to rent again.

Beautiful cabin

We enjoyed a peaceful stay at this beautiful cabin. Our group was three adults who each had their own bedroom and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the views were amazing. It’s sits in a valley near the creek. There are other cabins nearby by we never heard or saw anyone else.
