As The Adventure Couple, we have worked in luxury adventure travel including two decades on islands around the world. We always wanted to design and build our own luxury custom beach home. We wanted to create a unique experience blending our knowledge of the finest beach boutique resorts from countries around the world.
The home is equal parts modern luxury beach home, private relaxing retreat and aquatic adventure headquarters located on one of the finest stretches of white sand in the world.
Starting with a one of a kind architect design, we drew inspiration from luxury boutique resorts around the world and created a modern version of the traditional southern style home. The home is outfitted with fine bedding and European pillow top mattresses on all the king size beds, a unique selection of indigenous art from around the globe and award-winning underwater photography. It has a large great room with a full sized bar with 55" smart HDTV, beverage fridge and coffee bar as the centerpiece and a home theater area with a 84", 4K UHDTV.
The location of the home was carefully chosen because not all sites are equal. The home features water views from every room in the house and access to both the Gulf and Sound. It is located in a quiet location without crowds or traffic passing in front of the house. The home is crafted to take advantage of the beach and dune views and wrapped with over 1000 square feet of covered porches and a private sun deck off the grand master suite. The perfect place to relax and unwind.
OUTDOOR LIVING AND POOL AREA
Delight in covered porches, decks, outdoor dining and lounging and your private pool with privacy fence. Just like the great Southern plantation-style homes, we designed Sea Gem to be outdoor living friendly.
The deep, front covered porch is over 500SF, enjoys sound and dune views and includes lounge area, picnic table and Adirondack chairs. It is raised off street level and private so you can enjoy your time without interruption from the street or anyone walking up on you.
The Grand Master Suite has it's own private sun deck.
The back covered porch enjoys Gulf views and overlooks the backyard pool and deck. There are seating areas on the back deck for each of the 4 guest bedrooms and private access to the back yard and pool area.
The pool area and back yard features a private pool, deck area with Adirondack chairs and a charcoal grill. The privacy fence surrounds a large sandy area we call "The Beach." Go to the beach in the AM and then come back at lunch and enjoy your private pool and back yard for the afternoon.
GRAND MASTER SUITE
Over 600SF of luxury living including king size bed with fine bedding, Egyptian cotton sheets and European pillow top mattress, private sitting area, private sun deck, large wet bar with dual zone wine fridge, walk in shower with beach views, 50" smart HDTV with Blue Ray player and Jacuzzi tub.
GUEST BEDROOMS
No need to fight over bedrooms because guest bedrooms are large and outfitted with luxurious, king size beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and European pillow top mattresses. From all the bedrooms, you have views of the Gulf of Mexico and direct access to a large covered deck through a sliding glass door with your own sitting area. Every guest room features a 50" HD smart TV with Blue Ray player.
GUEST BATHROOMS
All bathrooms are spacious and include double pedestal sinks with lots of built in cabinet storage to easily accommodate a number of people. Shower and toilet are separate so multiple people can use the bathrooms at the same time.
KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS – for the Foodie
We love to cook and have outfitted the kitchen to be a chef’s dream including all new top end stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully outfitted with toaster, blender, dishwasher, microwave and large refrigerator. Enjoy the espresso/cappuccino machine, Keurig machine, and coffeemaker. All the dishes, flatware, knives, and kitchen utensils you could ever need are included.
GREAT ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
The great room is the social hub of the house and has the kitchen with large dining table, a full-size bar with 55" smart HDTV and Home Theater area with 84" 4K UHDTV and Blue Ray player and surround sound system. The house layout lets you gather together or enjoy as much privacy as you like.
DINING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS
A 12' sliding glass door disappears into the walls of the home to open the dining room directly on to the dining area on the front covered porch - seamlessly connecting the two spaces. The dining room comfortably seats 10 with Sound and dune views. It doubles as a game area in the evenings. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and watch the sun hit the Sound. The Main Bar seats an additional 6 people comfortably for a total of 16.
HOME THEATER HIGHLIGHTS
The home theater area offers a Denon pro home theater system with a 65” 4K UHDTV and reference speakers for fantastic sound clarity and surround. Sink into the large couches and enjoy movies and sports in incredible detail. Also included is a DVD collection.
Most of the TVs in the house are smart with fiber optic internet service so feel free to stream your favorite media services - Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, Amazon Prime.
BUNK AREA HIGHLIGHTS
Four twin bunks are located in the central hallway. Each has a privacy curtain, light, power outlet and storage shelf. Ideal for the kids.
BUNK BEDROOM/Gaming Room HIGHLIGHTS
The ideal playroom features a bunk with queen bed lower and twin XL upper - comfortably sleeping 3. In addition to a 42" HDTV, an XBOX One with a small game library is included. Play games, watch movies or stream online media. Perfect play area for both children and adults.
OUTDOOR COVERED DECKS HIGHLIGHTS
There are over 1000 sq. ft of covered porches and decks including picnic table just outside the dining room and comfy seating areas. And, of course, a charcoal grill. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner; and breathtaking sunrises or sunsets.

Fall: FALL FOOTBALL WEEKENDS: Watch college and pro games at the Main Bar, in the Home Theater area or both!! The weather is beautiful and days are perfect temperature.
HOLIDAYS: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's are all special times on the island. It is the ideal place to be with family and friends.
SPRING: is a gorgeous time of year.
SUMMER: During the high season, Late May - Mid-August, rentals are weekly with Saturday changeover
