"Big, very clean, quiet and 'comfort'-able room and well-run hotel. Helpful staff when I had a need and questions. I can only echo others' positive remarks. Convenient to drive east to visit chateaux (Chambord, Cenonceau, Amboise and others). Easy bus 18 ride from Fougerolles stop near Leclerc to visit Tours for a day."

"Stayed here for 3 nights. Hôtel was in a great spot for restaurants and shopping Just so happened we were there on the first Sunday in September. There is a huge market on that Sunday. We left early to do another tour and came back around 4pm. The market was still going. Great restaurants in the area. You could have any type of food you desired. Staff were excellent."

"What a fantastic visit we had in the Loire Valley! The chateau was incredible, learning it has been in the family for nearly 500 years made it an even more memorable! Alexia and her son Guy were wonderful hosts and the pool was very refreshing after a long day of exploring. We will definitely return and visit again! Thank you!"

"Very convenient for the train station, tourist bureau and supermarket close by. Easy walk into town centre. Friendly helpful staff on reception. Good WiFi. Kitchen had what you needed. You could buy a few things at reception like UHT milk if needed. The apartment was well laid out. Quiet. Comfortable beds We found the check in times a bit confusing online but relieved to find they'd been extended when we arrived."

"Our three-night stay at Château de Nazelles in Amboise was truly an unforgettable experience! 🇫🇷 What makes this château so unique is that we actually stayed in a cave room carved into the hillside—a one-of-a-kind experience that felt like stepping back in time. Our room had its own private hot tub and sauna, making the combination of historic charm and modern comfort absolutely perfect. The château dates back to the 1500s, and staying here gave us the feeling of literally living in another era. From the beautifully maintained grounds to the incredible historic setting, every detail made the experience special. We also really appreciated how environmentally conscious the property is. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and responsive throughout our stay. We loved the honor system, which gave the property such a warm, relaxed, and personal feel. Another favorite was the upper-level area where we could sit, relax, and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding area. This was so much more than just a place to stay—it was an experience that felt like going back in time, while still enjoying wonderful modern amenities. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting the Loire Valley and looking for something truly unique, Château de Nazelles is a gem! ❤️🇫🇷"

"The staff always make this hotel a welcoming stay. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere, attention, and recognition. We would recommend the restaurant which has excellent food with a selection of starters, mains and sweets and with a specials board too. And, of course, a wide selection of beverages including local wine. The rooms are clean, comfy and functional but basic, ideal for a stop over. We come here many times on our journey through."
