Great stay on D Lake

Great stay for my family girl’s weekend - plenty of room and plenty of Bathrooms () - we would stay here again! We like going to Casino at night and it’s only 5 minute ride from there !

Perfect Oasis

We loved the privacy and space provided by this home. The backyard was large and allowed the kids space to run and play. The kids loved looking for slugs in the yard in the mornings. We saw deer walk by several times. There is so much space and the host was always very respectful and kind in our interactions. There is a spare fridge in the garage that allowed us to cook meals at the house for 13 people. I would not hesitate to stay here again with a large group!

Maintenance needed

Overall, it was a nice place for the family to gather while we visited the area to attend a wedding. However, all of the beds squeaked every time you moved, and most of them were very uncomfortable. The BBQ needs to have the burner replaced, as it only got up to 200 degrees, we had to cook our burgers inside. The cooktop, only 2 burners worked. The fridge ice maker/water dispenser didn't work and the handle on the freezer was broken. It also had a terrible smell to the fridge, ground coffee & baking soda in the refrigerator in an attempt to cover it up. upstairs bathroom sinks drained extremely slow, pipes need to be cleaned. The kitchen table is wobbly. A family member described it best, all the furniture appears to have been used for many years by the owner, and when the owner updated their furniture, the old, falling apart/uncomfortable furniture was moved to the rental. There was zero contact with us when we arrived, to confirm if everything was good or if we needed anything. Access to the home was clear in the welcome email, however, most of us rely on GPS and it sent us down the wrong road with a small turn around. 1 sign added where K Ave veers to the left would likely solve this issue. The biggest reason I mention this, is that we had an emergency and 911 was called. Had we not flagged down the fire truck/ambulance, they would've gone down a narrow road with no turn around for their large vehicles.
