Family Getaway
The house was listed perfectly. No complaints great views of the ocean very quiet neighborhood. Short drive to beach (5min) also could walk (15 min) . Lots of restaurants options either way Lincoln city or pacific city both 15 minutes away opposite directions. We experienced both have great food and beach views from the restaurants we chosen.

Great view, house is ok
The view was unbelievable but the house was not. The carpet was wet when we arrived from being cleaned, but once dried there are countless pet stains and looks like a leg was lifted on the chair too. Furniture was really broken in and mattresses should all be replaced. I’m not typically going to provide a negative review but the property is charging a premium and it doesn’t exactly add up to the condition of the property. But absolutely stunning view.

Awesome view, Awful beds
The view is spectacular, but the only decent bed is in the master. I’m not just talking uncomfortable. The lower level bedroom with an oven view literally has just a boxspring. NOT a mattress, just a boxspring. That’s ridiculous! The carpets are also very, very old and stained. The master bathroom is carpeted, which should tell you how old it is. The only way I would recommend this place is if you would only be using the master bedroom. Then you will have both a great view and some comfort.

First Vacation in 5 Years!!!
This home is remarkable and the views will blow your mind!!! We had everything we needed, we were able to cook full meals and not worry about having the space to do so, the kitchen is perfect. We loved the decks, on both levels. We had 2 issues though...#1. I had spend 2 hours chipping away at the ice (in upstairs fridge) that had frozen solid in the ice maker bin as well as the shoot it is supposed to drop from. #2. The Jacuzzi tub in the Master Bedroom (which was one of the reasons we loved this listing, was unusable, you can fill it up with water but the moment you turn the jets on, little black particles that I can only assume is some sort of mold/mildew in the lines or jet housings came flying out and were of course in the water.....GROSS!

Beautiful, quiet and comfortable
We just loved this home. So quiet and relaxing. The view is wonderful from every room. More than I expected after reading some of the reviews. Fireplace worked great, heater worked fine. Loved watching movies in the dark listening to the rain and waves. Location is wonderful. I think we only saw eight other people on the beach the 3 days we were there. Will definately return but with out a truck, Recommend taking a smaller car for the driveway.

I booked this house to stay with my family of 5. The directions on how to get to the house were easy to follow. The house seemed pretty clean, though there are a number of strange stains on the carpet. Regardless, the place was clean (I was in white socks and they remained pretty white at the end of the day!) The views are absolutely gorgeous from the deck. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics (dishes, bowls, cups, flatware, etc.). The only issue i encountered was there was no instructions on how to use the upstairs TV. There are 5 remotes and even after playing around with all of them, the TV would turn on but it was just static. Some instructions or notes on how to set up the tv would be nice. There is no direct beach access from the home but you can drive down to it (though parking is tough to find). Overall, I really enjoyed the home. It was absolute wonderful falling asleep to the white noise of the ocean and then waking up via natural light. I would definitely book again.

Beautiful view but dated interior
The property has a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean from all levels of the home. The fireplace was an added bonus. Dog friendly was fantastic for us. The interior of the property is dated and a bit rundown. Carpets are very stained and need to be replaced. Interior, also, needs to be painted. Overall we enjoyed the property but the view was what made it worth the stay and cost.

Five days looking out at the ocean. The best! Sadly the people before us had a dog that wasn’t house trained. Vacasa/VRBO we’re responsive. Interesting house set up, firm beds, great desks and lovely views of the ocean.

Spectacular Getaway!
This was the perfect place to show off our beautiful coast to my visiting in-laws! This spacious home was well kept and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The views are amazing from the upstairs common area and the downstairs living areas and bedrooms. We found everything we needed in both kitchens. The main kitchen upstairs was especially well stocked with dishes, utensils and appliances of all kinds. The beach was a short 3 minute drive away, but there is a manageable access for the nimble a short walk away as well. My only suggestion would be to have a welcome binder with key information about the home (the TV remotes were a bit confusing), along with dining and activity suggestions. We loved the place and are planning to return!

Amazing views do not disappoint.
The good stuff first - Views at this property cannot be beat from the upstairs or downstairs. Truly incredible. Location wasn't bad, 8 minute drive to Pacific City, 20 minute drive to Lincoln City where lots of restaurants & shops were all open. The downs - the two kitchens are not both fully equipped. I only cooked in the large upstairs kitchen but had to go searching in the downstairs kitchen for basic gadgets like a can opener. Also, a stair lift has been installed. I didn't see any photo or mention of that in the listing. The chair was at the bottom of the stairs & takes up 50% the width of the bottom step. My 37 week pregnant daughter had difficulty getting by it to access the showers, which were only located on the lower level. The seat & footrest flip upright but do not stay upright. No regrets booking though, had a great time.

This house is very nice but the carpet needs a good cleaning. The views are wonderful but beach access not so much. The master bed was very comfortable but the guest bed where my 82 year old mother slept was rock hard and felt like she was sleeping on the floor, the house wasn’t close to anything but again you are staying here solely for the views.

Cliff House could be up lifted
This house has great space for many people. We liked the two levels and spectacular view. The need for updates is noticed everywhere, and the bedding was needed to be replaced. Especially during Covid. Maybe bring your own blankets. Sheets and towels and bathrooms very clean and soap and shampoo hotel style, a plus! There were not enough Drinking glasses, the stove took forever to boil water we finally found a spatula in the second downstairs kitchen. This house a bit of an enigma, but we had a great family get together Oh, the ads mention the lift chair, did not work, thank goodness for upstairs bedroom for our 85 yr old disabled grandma. The bath and upstairs kitchen are ada adapted another plus!

Just kind of meh...
Let's start by saying the house and view are absolutely gorgeous. I've never stayed in a place that has a view like this. The path leading down to the beach isn't all that bad either. Our toddler made it with a bit of help. And that's where the praise ends. The photos are extremely misleading on how close the house is to the beach. The house sits up on a 400-500 foot cliff, not a slight hill as the photos make it look. Also, the path leading to the beach isn't at the house. You have to walk down the street a bit to access it. The screen and sliding glass doors are all damaged, or in need of some serious lubrication. None of them open or close smoothly and we gave up on the screen doors entirely. The kitchen was not stocked with much of anything. The only thing there was plenty of was plates. We had to go and buy utensils and some cheap pots and pans. Ran out of garbage bags and paper towels by the second day as well. Some of the balcony lights were burnt out, others were broken entirely so we couldn't use them at all. The queen bed was like sleeping on a slab of rock someone put a foam pad over. It gave our party constant back problems. Cleaniless was a serious issue for us as well. There was hair left in the showers, and some sort of film on the kitchen counters. The carpets are also disgusting and dotted with stains. We thought to use the carpet cleaner to clean a section for our toddler but found that it was broken. The house also smells very old and musty. In the end none of this outright ruined our trip but that was due to our will to have a good time not because the problems were light or easy to deal with. We had constant annoyances that seemed to pop up each day and very well could have forced us to leave early if we hadn't been to this area before and knew how to work around things.

Beautiful views
The spectacular ocean views are unforgettable. It is a good sized space for a two generation family trip. The kitchen is made with several work spaces, allowing for multiple people to cook or prep simultaneously. A shade would be helpful for privacy on the upper level room. It was unfortunate for us that the stair chair was not functional during our stay; that feature was the main reason for choosing to rent a two story home. The local property manager was very responsive and made a great effort to resolve the situation.

Big house- not enough hot water and hard to open screen doors!
Overall our family of 5 had a great time. The views from the deck and the living/dining room are wonderful. The house was clean and inviting. The front yard- Needed some maintenance. The steps to the front door had a lot of debris and the plants needed to be cut back , so they don't get in the way as you use the steps.. Upstairs Kitchen- large, had sugar for our coffee. Upstairs bedroom- The door is glass, no privacy for our two teen girls. The bed on the right is not comfortable. The middle section of the mattress sags a lot! My daughter gave up sleeping on it, and slept on the couch. Master bathroom jetted tub- There is not enough hot water to fill and use the tub. Very disappointing! Showers- There is not enough hot water for 2 - 3 people to take short showers, much less 8 people that the house can accommodate. Screen doors- Difficult to open. It seems the latches are rusty and get stuck. Downstairs bathroom- Shower door detaches easily. Again, this is a roomy house with great views. We had a great time regardless.

Great place to stay for families
This place was amazing! A lot of room for kids to move and play and the views are amazing! The trail down to the beach was like walking through a magic tunnel and not too hard. We took our 4 year old and she did great! The house had everything you need and sleeping with the sound of the ocean was so calming! The only problem we had was getting in the house because lock box wouldn’t work and it was hard to get ahold of the property manager. Also they only gave a “starter” amount of toilet paper and it was not Much for a large group staying for a week. It would of been good to know that beforehand.

Beautiful view but...
The location and view was lovely. First day the upstairs freezer/refrigerator stopped working. Repair person came next day, started working spontaneously. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

Excellent Home and Locations
Loved the house and proximity to the beach. We had two hiccups, one billing related (charged a pet fee when we didn’t bring pets), and one house related (lock box code in app was not correct and had to drive back in to town to get signal to check email for code). Nothing crazy, overall a great experience/week on the coast!

Simply awestruck
We’ve spent many a night throughout the land and never enjoyed our time as much as at the Cliff House. We were simply awestruck at the spaciousness of the home and mesmerized by the views. We could not be more pleased to call this place home if even for a few days. Our rating is ten out of five stars.

Ocean views unsurpassed
The Valentines Day weekend stay 2020 was a pleasure, the coastal view was amazing! The ocean was everywhere you looked from both of the lower level bedrooms and pretty much the entire main floor. The kitchen was one of the better ones we have encountered in a rental, the only item we missed was a large skillet although the electric griddle worked well. The house seems to be fairly newly furnished and the beds were very comfortable ( we did not use the upper twin beds so cannot evaluate them). Weather was not nice enough to fully enjoy the beautiful deck. It is dog friendly which was a plus for us. Neighborhood beach access was an adventure we enjoyed, but not ideal for those with physical disabilities or very young kids. There is a drive-able beech access very close if needed. The master bathroom shower got warm but not hot while the jetted tub and all other faucets got very hot. The property manager addressed it promptly but could not fully correct the issue on the weekend, needing a plumber to be called. The freezer in the upstairs kitchen lost temperature for most of Sunday with melting of ice and frozen fruit. This again received a prompt response although again no refrigerator repair was available on a weekend so this issue too was pending. The prompt response was commendable and hopefully these issues will be corrected. Google maps and Waze both directed us up Marine drive from the South which was VERY rough and could have been trouble for a low clearance vehicle. Pay attention to the VACASA directions and go straight after turning off HWY 101.

Large home with great views
Overall this house is pretty nice and we enjoyed our stay. There were a few things that really bothered us but these were little things and we were still able to enjoy the stay. I provided a list below of the things we enjoyed and then a list of things that could be improved upon for future guests. The good: Amazing views New appliances Cleaning supplies were well stocked which was nice not to have to worry about. Great, large, open spaces. Good for my little one to run and play. Master bath was large and practical. No issues with the internet even in the lower level it worked great. Cable worked fine. The not so great/feedback: Quite a few dirty dishes pulled from cabinets and drawers. We vacuumed in some areas when we first got there to get rid of bugs and cobwebs. No firewood for the wood burning fireplace. No pellets or instructions for how to use the pellet stove. Toaster wouldn't work for us. Only a few knives. Very few kitchen utensils. Very limited seasonings. A lot of empty cabinets and we would open everything looking for things. I would suggest labeling. Limited blankets and pillows. No beach access within walking distance for a family with a toddler in my opinion. The access was down a narrow, steep path which led to a cliff with a rope. Not family friendly but the house made up for it with awesome views. Fireplace smoked up the main living room unless windows were open. A board was missing from the lower patio deck which alarmed me as I brought my one year old son and dog and am glad I found it before he did. This is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. Took us forever to figure out how to work the DVD player and after finally getting the movie going it skipped the brand new disc so bad we couldn't watch. Master bath drain was finicky and didn't want to stay plugged all the time.

The toaster and knives have been replaced, and we have taken inventory in the kitchen so we can replace what is missing. We have updated the beach access information and fireplace instructions and provided instructions for how to use the tub drain. The property manager has replaced the deck boards and the DVD player.
