This was our second time staying at Tranquility By The Sea, and it won’t be the last! We love this house and couldn’t recommend it enough. Amazing views from throughout the house, quality time spent on the deck, a quick walk to the beach.. what more could a person ask for?

Relaxation Station!

The setting was gorgeous. The home was clean and well appointed. The sound of the surf and the view of the coast was so beautiful and relaxing.

While the view was out of this world, the sauna was not available to use. Unfortunately, that was the deciding factor for my renting this place. The parking is absolutely horrible, and thus limited our activities, especially since workers were from next door were contuiously blocking our driveway. The trash was overflowing when we got there, and was never emptied at all. Had to leave all the trash inside due to the bear situation. This was a beutiful home, however there was much damage all over the property, i took photos. The microwave is cracked, and therefore, unsafe. This is my first experience with verbo, and must say not real impressed.

Good home with great view but…

The home itself was nice and the view and area was lovely. Issue is with the maintenance and cleanliness of the home. The dishes and silverware had grime on them and hair when we took them out the cabinets and glasses were chipped which could have easily cut someone’s lip. There was leaking from the sink downstairs and sliding doors were broken. Some of the beds looked tidy but had human and dog hair on them despite appearing to be cleaned for some reason. We even had issues with the back door lock getting stuck and we could not get it open…. There were issues with cleaning and maintenance other than that, good stay, but could be better with more attention to things that need fixing, updating, and more care when cleaning.

Nice Location

Overall the home was nice and has great potential. However, the furnace needed to be repaired so property manager left us with space heaters. If I had known the furnace was not working, I would not have booked this rental. Space heaters are not an alternative when the wind is blowing and rain is falling in the Spring. If it were summer time, I can imagine, but in May in the NW, it's still pretty cold and that was uncomfortable. Additionally, the code for the gate was wrong. When finally got thru the gate, we drove up to the house and went to retrieve the key out of the lock box. It opened up but the key promptly fell out of the box and down into the slots of the slotted floorboards. This seems like a stupid idea to place a lock box over a slotted floor where a key could fall into. What a fiasco! When we got home, friends and family asked about our trip. One family member was anxious to book a place in Neskowin and wondered if she should rent the same place. I quickly told her NO. And relayed our troubles. I am disappointed in the service and think i should at least receive some refunded fees due to our poor service.

Beautiful Setting and Lovely Home

Tranquility by the Sea features a beautiful view of South Beach from inside with stunning window views and from the decks. It is a short walk to the beach itself. At night, I enjoyed cracking the windows so I could hear the surf as I slept. The place was so calm that I immediately decompressed upon arrival. The home is clean and tidy. I enjoyed the woodwork features throughout. The kitchen was roomy and great for preparing meals and snacks. The wifi was strong, so I was able to stay connected with critical work-related issues when I needed to. I will definitely book this home again.

What a View!

Great property nestled in a gated community on the beach. Management and the owner quickly solved internet issues. A little hard to find due to the road design in the subdivision. The elevated view is very nice.

Very disappointing

Checked in but was unable to get through the security gate, all information we were provided did not allow us access, we piggy backed on another vehicle throughout our stay. It was about 85 degrees in the unit when we arrived, wished someone may have thought ahead and had the air conditioning on, no fans were found which could have provided some relief. Many windows and or blinds were not able to open or close, nice view - blocked by tree- but the lack of working windows and blinds made it less impressive. The kitchen did not have many supplies to cook, the non stick pans provided were horribly scratched, we improvised as best we could with the very limited options. A main reason we rent a house is to cook meals, I did not feel comfortable cooking in the pans provided, they clearly had not been inspected if ever, they were past there prime and should not be in a kitchen expecting them to be used for cooking.There was no foil or wrap provided and many of the bowls had chips. In my opinion not getting what we paid for. The beds weren’t very comfortable, my son chose instead to sleep on the couch. The stair path from the house to the beach was overgrown with thorny brush which cut several of us cut us. Not worth the money, for what we were charged the condition of the house and the amenities offered were disappointing. Definitely will not stay here or use this service again.

Great place close to beach

We had a scary-funny thing happen to us...when getting the keys out of the lock-box the keys fell down a crack in the corner of the front porch and landed about 4.5 feet down. We tried fishing them out to no avail. Luckily, after calling the help line, they were able to get us into the 2nd lock-box...so we didn't have to stay in our vehicle :) The place was great: close to the beach, nice ocean views. The place doesn't show properly on Google maps, so we had to follow the written directions on how to get to the house. We did need to clear some berry shoots that were hanging over the back steps down to the road. We did run out of hot water with our showers...we had 6 people. We did wish that the door to the main bedroom area could lock ;) All in all it was a great place to stay.

Great place to relax and recharge

This was the cleanest place vacation home we have ever stayed at and we have stayed in quite a few over the years. It is well appointed and for the most part everything worked and was comfortable. The most troublesome thing was getting the key box open when we first arrived, but otherwise we were pleased with our stay and the accommodations. The view is unbelievable from all the bedrooms and living room, the sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep and as long as a good number of stairs don't bother you, it is a short jaunt down to a quiet and beautiful beach.

The location and view are awesome. This was our second stay in less than a year and would love to do it again. Please do fix the sliding door from the kitchen to the deck. Suggest checking the mechanism for the back kitchen window facing the garage.

Amazing views, cozy and calm home

This is one of our favorite Vacasa properties to get away to; the views from both levels of the house are amazing, and the house itself is tastefully and simply furnished. It's a very calming space, and the two levels offer plenty of room for people to spread out and relax. Literally the only issue with the house is that the four twin beds downstairs (two in each downstairs bedroom) are very uncomfortable if you're an adult. If the beds were upgraded a bit, this place would be perfection! And even with that, it's still a wonderful spot that I know we'll return to again.

Location, location, location

Nestled on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the house is secluded and quiet, situated in such a way as to make one feel they are the only house around. The house is spacious, clean, and well-laid out. Access to the beach is easy, and in mid-October, we had it to ourselves on a sunny day. We were able to explore the North Coast all the way to Astoria and back in a day (about 8 hours). A great place for a couple, or a family of four.

More Beautiful than The pics Top Shelf

100% will rent again. The views are breathtaking and eating on the deck you can hear the ocean anywhere in the house. So so wonderful!!! The only recommendation I would say is get 2 queen beds in the rooms downstairs and then it would be 5 stars PLUS. It’s at the end of the road so it’s very quiet and secluded. We were very impressed. They even had new couches so comfortable and relaxing.
