I loved everything about this place except it smells a little musty. Great views and mostly secluded away from other people. Would definitely go back.

Looks are deceiving!

First of all I want to start out by saying communication with Oregon Beach was great! The response time was fantastic! However no where in the description that it tells you the road getting to the property is terrible now for the driveway it was horrific it’s so steep and at an angle! The view was great! The furniture is old with barely any stuffing left in them! The pots were broken or rusty! We found mice droppings in some of them! I had to have my husband bring some of ours from home! If someone put a little love into this property it could be a gem!

Amazing view but needs work

The view was amazing but the house really isnt maintained well. Furniture is shabby and sparse and the kitchen is not equipped well. The floorplan worked well for our group but the basement musty smell made it unuseable. The house really needs to be cleaned better.

Massage chair with awesome views

I discovered the massage chair almost immediately and spent most of my time after the kids went to sleep relaxing in the chair and watching the sunset over the ocean. Had never really been to Neskowin (driven through 100 times). Really great little town with a huge and fun beach. The house was great. No complaints other than one of the pots was rusting out so had to use a bigger pot, small potatoes kinda stuff though. Will be staying again and alreadu recommended to friends and family. Also I went out and found the same massage chair and bought my own!

Wonderful Place To Get Away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were looking for a relaxing place to get away for my mothers birthday and are so glad to have found this place. Beautiful view of the ocean, quiet and serene and just a nice place to relax. It is on top of a hill though which may be a little difficult for some vehicles, but it is well worth it. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

The tv’s up stairs did not work and the driveway you have to back down which is a major inconvenience. The downstairs had a musty smell and killed several spiders

Wonderful view, but...

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Come for the view, it's spectacular, but the house itself has not been well kept. We expected a working Jacuzzi tub, it was out of order because of a leak - pretty disappointing since that was a factor in our booking. The deck stairs are about ready to fall down as one of the posts is completely compromised, so enter through the lower door. Also be aware that if you're coming anytime other than the summer you'll want to drive a 4x4 to get up the driveway. It's quiet and relaxing and if you can get past the lack of general upkeep you'll likely enjoy yourself.

Will Stay Here Again

After reading the reviews I packed a small cleaning kit and hand held carpet cleaner. I didn't need them. As a former housekeeper/inspector I usually plan to do an extra five minutes here and there at a VRBO since many times the people cleaning aren't pros. This place was just fine. No animal smell. White hotel-style sheets and towels. There is some staining on the light carpet, but it didn't bother me. My kids spent two hours downstairs playing ping pong and foosball before they even went upstairs. They were wowed. We sed the washer and dryer with no issues. The refrigerator was completely empty, which I prefer. If I need groceries, even salt, I bring it myself . I brought my own cutting board, chef's knife, and frying pan, so no complaints. There are indeed no wine glasses, but there are a couple of water goblets that would be close enough. The views are breathtaking. I could see the ocean right when I woke up. The road to the house is narrow, steep, and winding - try to get there in the daytime. There is a sign at the bottom of the driveway so you know you are in the right place. Last, if this place was remodeled with newer furniture it wouldn't be in my price range. There was a musty cabin smell, but I just opened the screened windows to let fresh air in during warmer parts of the day. It was just fine. I'm sensitive to smell but it didn't bother me. I also disinfect all sinks and tubs as soon as I arrive anywhere, and the cleaner covers smells

Not worth it! Look elsewhere

This property has many items that need to be addressed. We have been told that it won't be able to be rented again until they are resolved but who is to say they will follow through. Reviews that were added to this site after I had already book lead me to believe they will not. The TL;DR is that if it hadn't been a Holiday weekend where we had other plans centered around this area and had driven 3.5 hours to get there....we would have turned around and stayed at home! This house is in need of major TLC and is a safety hazard. The deck supports are rusted, one post is supported by two rocks. The upper deck is spongy/rotten. We did NOT get to utilize them. The gas fireplace was not functional, heat to the lower level of the house was non-existent which makes that room unusable. The carpets are grotesquely stained and dirty as well as the furniture on the main level. The dishwasher was melted inside and couldn't even pull the lower rack out properly. A screw fell out of the support securing it to the cabinet. There are many other complaints that were already shared with Oregon Beach Rentals and I truly hope they repair them and hold up their end. They did refund the cleaning fee (how many times have they done that and not actually cleaned it??) and have offered up two free nights but I'm not sure that covers the loss.

Staying with people you love makes all the difference.

The view was spectacular from the deck. Our stay was good with a few issues. First and foremost some one needs to check the smoke detector and make sure it works!!!! Someone needs to give the rental some love. Some examples: 5 of the 6 lightbulbs in the living area were burned out, we could not get any regular TV stations on the TV, the heat makes a lot of noise every time it kicks on, and a lot of junk in the kitchen but not what you needed. For example, there were 6 wine openers but no wine glasses. The owners just need to visit and stay for a week and think about what renters need and want-or not rent the house.

The views were amazing

The views were amazing. The house was very dirty much of the items in the house did not work the dryer did not work , one of the showers upstairs did not work, the carpet was very filthy dirty, the downstairs bedroom smelled of cat urine. And when we arrived garbage was scattered all over the the yard… I will not rent again.

I feel, it’s a shame that if someone took better care of it people would return and recommend it.•Amazing View!•Large Yard•Comfortable Beds•Clean Linens•Lots of Towels•Great Wifi and CableTHE NEGATIVES-Basic overview- Only basic cleaning appears to be done with many things left dirty, unkept, stained, or desperately in need of replacement!• Overgrown gutters with weeds a foot high.• Upon entry we find a nice welcome note next to a basket that says “Be sure to enjoy the goodies in this basket. Please leave them clean for the next guest.” The basket is EMPTY.• Living Room Furniture and massage chair are all TERRIBLY broken down and torn up on corners. You can, literally, get FREE furniture in better condition. The massage chair was more of a torture device due to severe wear.• Missing lightbulbs, missing light fixtures, mismatched globes on light fixtures, downstairs bedroom lamp flickers on and off, mostly off and living room floor floor lamp is unusable because the on/off switch is broken off. • Dining light fixture covered in dust and dead insects.• Stained doily, stained curtains and water stained book covers. Just remove or clean?• Ping Ping Table with no balls until a search ensued. Paddles are severely worn and need replaced! One usable ball and two ruined balls found in bottom of a plastic tub on top shelf. One dented ball was found in a bag of fast food cups and used feminine products on the same top shelf. Gross!• Unlocked closet (just lock it-please!) by ping ping table opened by my daughter to find a nicely made mouse nest complete with mouse. Best view in town

Very private location sitting on top of Hawk Creek. There is no better view. Now...the condition of the interior of the house was as advertised but, the steps up to the deck and the deck itself needs immediate attention.

We were told to arrive 2 hours later thank our check in due to housekeeping issues. We arrived to a house that was not completely cleaned. Some of the amenities listed are not included, including cable. The staff at the rental office were argumentative and did not treat us well. We will not be using Oregon Beach Vacations again.

Great views

The house is big and comfortably fit all of us in our group. The views are amazing. There is a lot of things that don’t work like our shower heads, TV’s, and fireplace. Don’t expect much when renting ther than space and views. We were without power for almost a whole day. When I called the property manager I got great service and they called me back immediately to give me an update on the situation.

We had a great stay and loved the views. Some notes for owner: outdoor grill grates should be replaced (rusty), and some pans very old and rusted-we did not use.

No one came to clean the place

We got here late on last Sunday night....all the beds looked like someone just left.They still had dirty sheets on all beds so we had to do laundry.A note left saying someone cleaned it Oct 26th but there was wet towels in washing machine like someone just cleaned them.Rented because your covid 19 cleanliness on website but had to clean the whole place anyways.We’ve rented twice here before and it was great but this time was just dirty.And the fact that someone left a note saying they cleaned last month was a lie.And made me even more annoyed.
