Excellent Riverside Retreat near New Bern

This is a clean, well-stocked retreat that has most of the comforts of home. The property is serene and remote, but still close to town & hiking. Marisol was a great host and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed sitting by the water, kayaking, fishing, and visiting with their lovely dog, Roo.

New Bern Guest Cottage

This is a lovely cottage. Immaculate and beautifully decorated. The owners are very friendly and the property on the riverfront is relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed our visit and hope to return.

Lovely, clean, relaxing, as advertised and the hosts are wonderful! Centrally located for downtown and the beach and we made use of the paddle boat and fishing right on the dock behind the house. Fully stocked with everything you need and the property is beautiful thank you Matt and Marisol

Birthday trip

The cottage was clean and the hosts were great and they walked our dog for us while we were out for a day trip. I cannot say enough about the experience and the fishing was great from the dock. Our dog Tide had a great time.

A relaxing getaway

My husband and I had a much needed relaxing getaway —surrounded by nature and water in a quiet location. Just a few miles to down town New Bern offered great restaurants, shopping and activities. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent 3 day weekend trip

My wife and I took a long weekend trip away and had an excellent time. Kayaking on-site is fantastic, and the guest house has everything you need. The location is great; only ten minutes to downtown. Highly recommend and would love to come back and stay again.

Perfect Place!

Spent 6 days in this perfectly situated cottage out in the pines, by the river! The hosts were friendly and attentive and welcomed Mister Max, my nervous doggy, with open arms! Everything you would need is in the cottage and if you're outdoorsy, you have options outside, too!Hoping to see you again!

Cute house / great stay

This house on the river was the perfect destination for my mother’s 80th birthday. We made great memories. Very dog friendly. Our dog loved jumping off the deck and swimming back to the shore with sticks. Would definitely stay here again.

Just everything we wanted and needed. Serene setting not stuck in a crowded neighborhood. Perfect for night time stargazing. Hosts were amazing.. extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

The Ultimate New Bern Experience!

Perfect accommodations and amazing host. This is where I’ll stay if I return to New Bern. Home is super clean and you’ll have everything you need to feel at home. I love that you can be at the property and feel like you miles from civilization but have easy access to amazing restaurants and downtown. Can’t wait to return!

Tranquil, Beautiful, and Friendly

This was a great home away from home! The owners were so incredibly friendly and kind, and super welcoming. The guest house was a perfect space for our little getaway. They really have a great space, and had awesome conveniences (like tinfoil, baggies, Tupperware, etc.) that were really nice to have on hand! It was a beautiful area, and the sunsets were breathtaking!

Wonderful Getaway

Everything was wonderful. Marisol and Matthew were great hosts and their property was perfect for our short trip. The rental and grounds were dog friendly (and Lucy loved their dog Roo) and a short drive to downtown New Bern. Their suggestions for local food were also great! We can't wait for another excuse to book so we can enjoy the river some more. Thank you!
