“No front desk, all transactions were done remotely! If there was any issue, it would have to be done over the phone! Thankfully everything was fine, but I not a fan of getting instructions on my phone to check in! What if my phone wasn’t working or not charged since I was on the road! It was a wonderful room, but should be informed that there is no one at the hotel!”

“Not pleased with my stay. Booked on expedia-room with hot tub. Checked in, no room with hot tub, front desk said since i booked through 3rd party they did not get my reservation right with a hot tub. Nothing offered for thw inconvenience at first. I found the email with my reservation details which did include the hot tub. Only then did they upgrade me to a king suite. The tv did not work in the kiving room and thw microwave has seen way better days. Also the lobby needs better upkeep as there……

“We paid for the room, opened the door then left immediately. The non-smoking pet room smelled so strongly of smoke that my asthmatic friend started having issues. The 1970s floor was dirty. This hotel doesn't look anything like the pictures. From the front light by the door being broken to the lobby smelling like moth balls, this place needs a thorough cleaning. Old decor is fine as long as it is clean. This place is not clean. The staff did give me my pet deposit without issue. Still……

“It was a neat bare bones cabin. Had our 3 dogs with us and the yard was convenient. It had rained rained quite a bit before we arrived so we couldn't be to adventurous as we would have liked. Nice area with the lake near.”

“This motel was rated exceptional. What? Clean but shabby rooms. I asked the desk clerk if there was a restaurant in the area besides Hardee’s. He said that was it. A quick Google search showed he was lying or misinformed. The next morning, at 9:15, he ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign to tell me something incoherent about wanting to shut down the motel by 10, even though checkout was at 11. I was working online at the time. And the maid talked loudly while cleaning the other rooms on the……

“We arrived at the proprty and walked up to the porch to ring the doorbell. The property was overrun with dead plants and was very un kempt. The steps were hard to negotiate for my wife and I. There were pots of dead plants on every step. There was a cat tower next to the front door, and there was feces smeared on it right at eye level. On the one side of the porch was some kind of pet house with heat lamps in front of it, possibly for feral cats? On the other side of the porch were 3 chairs,……
