Elaine at the front desk was awesome. Got us checked in early and gave us some tips on where to go for food and drinks in the quarter. The room was clean and cozy. Would definitely come back.

We had 4 night stay in NOLA in January 26. Hotel is really well situated - easily walkable to key sights, though not not in a place disturbed but those out into early hours. Room was spacious and had everything we need. We were ground floor so bit of noise when first floor guests moving around, but didn’t impact our stay.

Front desk staff were fantastic, the room was not! This room was not what I had expected at all. The weather was chilly and the room was very cold as well. There was only a sheet and a light blanket on the bed. We pulled the extra blanket out of the closet but it was also very light, a thicker duvet would have been nice. Especially since there was a big gap at the base of the door that lead to the hall, allowing a cold draft to coming.The bed was very hard making it difficult for us to sleep. The bathroom was disappointing. As in water pressure was low in the shower, and there was a lot of discoloration to the tile that looked like mold. The bathroom counters looked like someone who didn’t know what they were doing just caulked everything together. Again the staff were super nice, but thats not enough to make up for the rest of the deficiencies. I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

I booked this because the reviews on Expedia were excellent but I wish I looked at the Google reviews first. Our room was supposed to include a “deck/patio” but we were told at check in that was just the communal patio/pool area and that no other rooms were available. First look at the room and it is very dated, the furniture is falling apart and there is a strange smell. We left the room to explore and came back later in the evening and had more time to look around. Went to take a shower and there was hair all over the bathroom walls, the pillows on the bed were dirty, and there are marks and stains all over the walls. The moment we went to lie down for the night we noticed black mold on one of the vents blowing out air. We immediately packed up our stuff and found other accommodations. I have been told no refund can be provided by the hotel. The only positives were the check in staff and the location (although if you are on the first floor and right on the street like we were, it is extremely loud).

Staff was great, location was perfect. Room was just not the cleanest, and we could hear our neighbors very clearly in the rooms next to us. Probably wouldn’t stay here again due to those two reasons but we had an amazing trip and felt safe which is what mattered most!

The hotel was old, dirty and smelled bad. The room wasn’t as advertised. There were no amenities. The website didn’t mention that there was no elevator and you’d be required to climb multiple stairs to get to your room. We checked out soon after arrival. Trying to maneuver down the stairs with our luggage my husband fell down two flights of stairs. He was injured and required a trip to the ER with a follow up with his specialist to determine his injuries. The only employee was friendly and understanding. I would not recommend this hotel.

This room was ok. It wasn't great. It wasn't horrible. It was ok. Good: it's in the "quiet" end of the French Quarter (if there is such a thing). The location was great. One block from Royal street, two blocks from Bourbon street. One block from the French Market. It certainly has historic charm. The high ceilings were nice. The courtyard was nice - if not a little cold, but it was December, so can't really hold that against the hotel. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard. We sat there a lot. Why? Read on. The not-so-good: the room is bare bones. There's a bed and one chair. That's it. Nowhere for two people to sit. We asked for another chair - even a folding chair. None to be had. There's no fridge. No room in the bathroom for toiletries. The mattress was very worn out. The room was also very poorly lit. One little recessed light in the ceiling near the door, one little lamp by the bed. Also, they don't tell you until you're checking in. They dock your credit card an additional $55 per day for incidentals. Ironic because there's no mini bar or anything like that in the room. I asked what incidentals could we possibly incur. The desk clerk said they keep that money in case you break anything. If nothing's broken when you leave, they release it 7 to 10 days later If you do stay here, go to CC's coffee for your morning cup. Go to Verdi Marte for sandwiches. Hole in the wall place with very good food. Everyone in there is fun and eccentric.

Staff were pleasant and attentive. Penthouse room was 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. Penthouse was big but sparse and showed its age. Main problem was you could hear everything in the other Penthouse through the connecting door. Other rooms may not have that problem. I can’t recommend the penthouse room.
