The host provided clear instructions for check‑in and was always prompt and helpful with communication, which we really appreciated. Montageau Beach is about a 20‑minute walk from the villa, and the sidewalk along the route made it an easy and enjoyable walk during the day. However, there were some downsides. 「Can’t beat the value and close to supermarkets. I like being away from the crowds and downtown so it was right for me. Close to the bus stops as well. Only issue was water pressure was low and had to was dishes in the bathroom sink. Overall great place and communication was great!」

The only problem we had was with a few inconveniences… there was a coffee maker with no coffee filters, dishwasher with no soap tabs, laundry machine with nothing to do laundry with, etc. This would have been good to know in advance as there isn’t really anywhere close to buy these things. 「The space was clean. However the television didn’t work. The host came twice but never got it to work. The stove didn’t work. 」

「The host never got in contact with me to give me the details. I emailed him, texted him, and called him. I ended up in the Bahamas with no place to stay. Fortunately VRBO refunded my money. But since it was Christmas, there were no available rooms for rent, so I had to get on a plane and come back home.」
