"Squid house is an ideal base for a relaxing family break. Lovely to look out across the sea. Therese is a great host and always on hand if needed. "

"The place was perfect, everything you could have needed including toys for the little one, board games, an amazingly stocked kitchen! The host was lovely too and incredibly responsive - we would definitely stay here again, hopefully we’ll pick a weekend with better weather next time so we can make better use of the balconies with sea views!"

"We wanted quiet, peaceful, beautiful, unique and considerate and that’s what we got. To be woken up by pheasants and lambs, dinner at The Plough, logs being burnt inside and out and amazing views and walks… it was all there."

"Nick and America are wonderful hosts. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. We loved our stay there and cannot wait to go back."

"I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. "

"Ideally situated for the beach, parking for 3 vehicles, spacious downstairs. "

"We had a very pleasant stay at this spacious and comfortable home, which was well-suited for our larger group. The garden was a particular highlight, offering ample space and the added delight of fresh fruit to pick. The location is great, being within a short walking distance of the beach and sea (20mins). The property was generally tidy, there were a few spiderwebs which luckily didn't have any spiders. If these were removed it would enhance the experience. Parking proved somewhat challenging...

"Although an old pub this is an excellent place for friends and family to stay for a celebration or to explore the surrounding area. Very clean and a great kitchen, Bedrooms vary but all comfortable. Overall very good."

"Well appointed and clean house. Convenient for shops and restaurants. Lovely beach a short walk away. Indian restaurant in Camber is great."

"Great check in and breakfast but the beds are very hard and the pillows awful. Choice of firm ie rock hard or soft and very lumpy. Horrible prickly fabric left my face itchy and uncomfortable, consequently didn’t sleep and had an early tunnel train so not a great start to my holiday "

"Staff really helpful and friendly. We arrived early and man on reception sorted out our parking for us; fortunately there were plenty of space’s available on the road outside of the hotel. We checked in later that day. Room was a good size with large bathroom. No bath but lovely rain shower. Tea and coffee provided along with 2 bottles of water. Breakfast was plentiful with choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices, cheese, meat, bread etc; hot food was cooked to order. Staff member at breakfast was very nice and helpful. We did not have dinner at hotel. This was our second stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you."
