Featuring picturesque rowhouses and brownstones as well as trendy dining and shopping options, this pedestrian-friendly area beautifully balances past and present. There are traditional butcher shops, like Paisanos, close to contemporary favorites, such as Trader Joe’s. The area is rich in leisurely activities, with a variety of first-run and independent films shown at Cobble Hill Cinemas, and both classics and best-sellers found at the local bookshop, Books Are Magic. Cobble Hill Park lies in the center of the neighborhood, a small green space for quiet relaxation. For convenient commuting, the neighborhood is connected to the rest of the city by several subway lines and bus routes.
