Terrific B&B in a beautiful old house. Room is large and vomfortable. Continental breakfast is good with fresh bagels and pastries, fruit and more. Very nice staff.

I was just in town overnight and the DeBary was perfect for my needs: centrally located, very clean, quiet, with safe parking. This is a very quaint inn with a lovely staff. I would highly recommend!

I lived in Summit for 40 years and only stayed here after moving away. This is a charming converted multi-story home, very old-school in its bones, but updated for wifi, chargers, etc. Nicely appointed, two quiet blocks from downtown Summit. Real staff on site--not a tie-line to some national headquarters. Staff goes home at 6 but is close by and available by phone if needed. Spacious sitting room and breakfast area with nice spread of breakfast fare. Short walk to the train (NJ transit to NYC and elsewhere). Summit has restaurants ranging from a NYC quality steak house (Roots) to The Summit Diner, a 1920s-era DDD where my children and I spent every Saturday morning eating short-stacks and eggs & corn beef hash. The DeBary is my new go-to place for when I'm visiting. If you really need a gleaming Ritz Carlton, well there's one a couple of miles away (charging $500/night more), but you'll be disappointed. We spent 5 nights at the Inn, and the first 4 were in a sub-par room, which I booked online, evidently a mistake. It was right off the kitchen, dark, with a very uncomfortable, small bed (said “queen” but more like a “double” and horrible pillows - one as flat as a pancake and the other a bolster as hard as a log!) We couldn’t sleep the first 2 nights due to repetitive loud clanging and banging of plumbing in the walls. When we mentioned it, we were given earplugs! So I guess they knew it was an issue. We should have requested a better room. The last night (we added a night) we spent in another room, as ours was already booked. It was upstairs and was lovely and quiet, with a comfy king-sized bed and soft cozy pillows. So much better! The Inn itself, once a beautiful and gracious private home right in-town, is great, with a daily breakfast in the dining room, and friendly, pleasant staff. But beware, don’t stay in Room #4!

Quaint inn near central Summit NJ. Talking to the town center takes 5-10min where you have shops and restaurants. Relatively easy access from I78. Spacious room and relaxing public areas. Breakfast was simple but quite good.
