The Glidden House

10/10 Excellent

"Glidden House is beautiful and well located to several museums and Little Italy. You can easily walk to the Botanical Gardens, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Natural History Museum. Little Italy is .6 miles away, so walkable for most persons. The breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, homefries, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, coffee and orange juice. Our room was clean and roomy. A bench ran along one side which was handy for suitcases and totes. The sink had a large counter. The shower worked well and the shampoo and conditioner as very nice."

"This hotel is in a quiet area close to many great restaurants, with very easy access to freeways. The breakfast area was smaller than at the other Hampton Inns we stayed at on our road trip, and the food selections were limited. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Great place to stay, just 15 minutes from downtown."

"Nice hotel and very good breakfast. Unfortunately, got to the hotel and we were told that the room we reserved (2 double beds) was not available. The gentlemen at the front desk said they were a -2, meaning they were oversold by 2 rooms. I instantly remembered a Seinfeld episode. The hotel was good at taking reservations but didn't understand the part about holding a reservation. Not a good look late at night."

"The continental breakfast was amazing. So many options. We wanted a hotel with a pool and this one was supposed to have one. When we got there we were told the pool was closed for maintenence but when we went and looked at it, it was very obvious that the pool has not been opened for years. So that should be removed as a amenity until the pool is actually working. Location was good, lots of resturants around and it was very close to my son's home in Mentor who we were visiting."
