“The refrigerator was not cold and I could not find an adjustment on it. The hot water was not hot, it was better than warm but not much. Finally I specifically asked how early the coffee would be available in the lobby as we were leaving early on Friday morning, I was told "we keep it full 24 hours" when I got up Friday and tried to get coffee the dispenser was empty and no one was around to get it filled.”

“The TV channels did not include the major networks NBC, CBS, ABC. Therefore, I could not watch the New York Knicks win the NBA title, which was very important to me. I had to sit in my car and listen to it on the radio. The bath towels were the thinnest, smallest, cheapest I've ever experienced in a motel or hotel. Sundance and the Black Hills area are known for severe weather. When severe weather occurs it's the local TV stations of the major networks, NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, that provide people……

“This place was a wonderful surprise! We’d stayed at a couple of not as nice properties the two nights before, and didn’t know what to except here. As son as we pulled up to Spearfish Canyon Lodge, we knew we had lucked out. The setting is gorgeous, and the lodge is very welcoming. It is beautifully decorated, and the ladies at the front desk were so nice. I was going to put that the one negative is that there’s no ice machine, but the folks at the pub are so accommodating in filling up your ice……
