This is a lovely cabin with plenty of room for the extended family. The location is remote and the views are beautiful. Beds are comfy, and the property management company is very communicative. Three things to be aware of: you will find that you could have rented this property through the property management company (Blue Ridge Rentals) for quite a bit less than through VRBO. When I mentioned the discrepancy between my contract amount and VRBO, the rental company suggested I take it up with VRBO because they are the ones charging the additional fees. Of course they would not do anything about this, and it made me feel like I'd been snookered. Less concerning, when we arrived at the cabin we saw that the hot tub was missing half its hard cover and the remaining soft leather part of the cover was lying in the tub and was filled with water. We bailed out the water, turned up the temperature, turned on the breaker switch, and stretched the soft part of the cover over the top of the hot tub to protect it. It never warmed up beyond 87 degrees, however, so no one could use it. And last, there was plenty of dishes, glasses, and silverware in the kitchen (which had a lovely double oven), but I didn't have enough pots to cook meals for my family, nor enough casserole dishes, or a platter to plate meat, and only 2-3 kitchen towels were available. I left tin casserole pans that I purchased locally for the next guests, but be aware cooking pots are a little skimpy for big families.
