Can’t beat the view, but accommodations are sub par
Absolutely breath taking view and easy driving access to beaches and stores. I wasn’t overly happy with the cleaning done - hairs still evident on pillows, food particles on the stove top and kitchen floor, dishwasher was running upon arrival so had to unload and didn’t know where anything went. There was not enough clean bedding or pillow cases for my 3 kids. Wet towels/some bedding in the washer which we did not know until investigated at bed time. Dryer full of towels which again, we didn’t know about until we investigated. Only a few bowls and spoons we could find so had to keep hand washing - definitely not enough for a home that can sleep 6 people. No pizza cutter that we could find, but 3 wine openers. Truly the biggest issue was a huge leak in the roof actively dripping and soaking the carpet in the main living space that we mitigated with a stool and bowl. Not really what you want to do in a house you’ve paid significant money to stay at for 3 nights. Internet came in and out but when it was working it was fast, which was great for the kids tablets. Overall we had a great beach vacation and the kids will remember that aspect, but my husband and I will remember all the rest. Wouldn’t really recommend for a family with young kids or anyone looking to actually kick back and relax on vacation - unless you really enjoy cleaning.

House was extremely clean and the view was incredible. Kitchen was well stocked. As other reviewers have mentioned the house it a bit outdated but that didn't bother us at all, in fact it was a bit nostalgic and charming (might have felt different if not for the extreme cleanliness). Would not hesitate to book this house again.

Great View
Very comfortable house with the most amazing view. Covid in the family changed our Thanksgiving plans suddenly and my teenagers and I were able to cook a full meal and save the day. Very well outfitted kitchen. House is overall dated and not the aesthetic that I would normally be drawn to, but it was very, very comfortable and clean. Super easy communication with the owner.

Nice beachfront Villa
We enjoyed a recent stay at Oct . the house location + west coast terrain was simply outstanding. Kitchen was loaded with all kinds of cookware & appliances Garage was not usable during our stay. So, we parked our vehicle outside the garage area. Wind Storm arrived during last day of our stay. luckily our car was spared by mother nature.

Great ocean-side getaway!
Great location to visit the Newport area! The house is very close to food and groceries, while also still feeling secluded. The house was clean and checking in was a breeze. The 70's style interior was charming and cozy; it was almost like being at Grandma's house. The views were fantastic, and we would gladly stay here again!

Beautiful view, but needs work
The view is lovely in this house from the living room, kitchen, both bedrooms, & the TV/game room. It rained the entire vacation & it would have been nice if the outside had better covered areas so you could sit outside and enjoy the ocean. The cost of the house is more than we have rented in our last 5 rentals and the house needs renovation. The bathrooms, kitchen, and carpet need to be replaced. The upstairs bedroom, bathroom does not have a door. The shower had mold/mildew, which I had to clean. The fan is noisy and does not work well. The downstairs bathroom has a very low toilet and the window (clear stained glass) does not have a covering so no privacy if anyone was to walk up to the drive or front door. A guy come through at 0900 blowing leaves/debris around the entire home and he was able to see into the home since there are many windows. The carpeting is stained in many areas, not only high traffic areas. The kitchen stove is electric, old, & doesn't work efficiently, it needs replacing. The sink faucet doesn't recoil easily & doesn't seat properly. Small sink with the garbage disposal side & larger sink without, one large sink would work better. The gas fireplace works when there are fresh batteries. We had to buy 4 AAA to get the fireplace to work. We were given 1 paper towel roll and we were not provided with a sponge, dish cloth, and dish towel so cleaning was a challenge. We ended up buying these essentials and toilet paper. For the $ spent, we expected more.

Just Beachy
We thoroughly enjiyed the stay. Coming from landlocked KC seeing the ocean when wake in morning and having wine in the enclosed deck relaxing was phenomenal. Our only issue was queen beds and kitchen/baths needing some updates. But overall that didnt distract from the beauty and reason we were there.
