"Firstly, I was a dumb foreigner and had it in my head that I could check in for the campsite whenever. So I was driving down from Mishima and stopping at all the BookOffs I could not even thinking about the time. The site got a hold of me by email and I stopped goofing off and jetted down there, the onsite employee kept things open an hour and half late so I could get checked in. "喜喜哀楽さんは宇佐美海岸から徒歩2.3分の所にあるゲストハウスで、とっても人柄の良い若いご夫婦さんがオーナーです。フロントは、古道具に囲まれた昭和レトロな空間。壁には、キャンディーズや百恵ちゃんの写真が飾っています。ノスタルジックな雰囲気が落ち着きます。お部屋は、とっても広くて2DKの広さに，なんとお部屋内に温泉付き。これには驚きました。源泉掛け流しの温泉♨️がお部屋にあるなんてスイートルームだと思います。ところどころに，オーナーさんの創意工夫が施されていて使い勝手が良かったです。旅の話し、海の話し（オーナーさんサーファー🏄‍♂️)台湾の話し（奥様台湾の方)ができて楽しかったです。夕方は宇佐美海岸までサンセットを見に行ったり、宇佐美の街中を歩いたりして少しジモティ気分を味わいました。宇佐美はのんびりできて、それが心地良かったです。おひとり様、女子旅、カップル、ファミリー、少人数で楽しむにはもってこいのお宿です。お世話になりました。"

"Kitchen was very well-equipped, with a lovely big fridge. Appreciate the laundry machine available. Older place so a bit worn and dusty in places. Very spacious - yet somewhat awkward for just relaxing in. Single beds were not comfortable so we placed tri-fold mattresses on top. Orange duvet covers not a pleasant material to touch. We could not get hot water in the tub so we're not able to enjoy it! Air conditioning was good! Nice neighborhood. Lovely plants and birds just outside!"

"Breakfast buffet was great. But time to stop imposing the silly Covid-era measures in the dining area, all of which have proven to be without any scientific or medical basis. If there are guests that complain about removing such measures, they should just stay at home with their neuroses and not bother to leave their homes. Other than that, what a lovely dog friendly place to stay! The pool is great; I would just ask the management to consider revising the morning opening times which make it difficult to enjoy the pool and onsen, in addition to taking breakfast. "

Fujisan Mishima Tokyu Hotel

"We had the Mt Fuji View superior twin room (middle floor = 6/F - 9/F). 26.5 m2. I requested a room on a higher floor and we got a room on 7/F. We were very happy. Once I got into the room, my first thought was "This is so luxurious!" It is indeed a luxury hotel. And there were two chairs in front of the ceiling-to-floor glass panel for us to enjoy the Fujisan view. It was amazing. We could see Fujisan at different times of the day under all different weather conditions!! Not to mention the fact that we saw the rare "ring clouds" in the last afternoon we were there! The room was even better than how it looked in the photos. Breakfast at Robata Grill L'EAU has all the usual items plus French toasts, the famous Mishima Croquettes, grilled salmon steaks, mackerel pieces and even whole horse mackerels! The view on 13/F was just as amazing! The hotel uses the Fujisan motif everywhere, from the room key card sleeve, the Do not disturb and Please make up room signs to the crockery in the rooms. And I think the quilt covers feature patterns of Mishima symbols. I saw them on the glass panels at the Mishima Tourist Information Centre and asked what they were. I thought that was a nice touch. Lastly, the hotel lobby has a miniature model of the hotel with the various trains tracks and trains including Doctor Yellow (retired 29/1/25). Just lovely! And hotel merchandise for sale. "
