Peaceful retreat

We immediately felt the warm welcome of the Swan house when we walked through the front door. Everything was comfortable and lovely, the host was incredibly responsive and answered questions quickly, making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The outdoor space and grounds are so peaceful and quiet - one of our favorite parts of the trip was just sitting outside talking, watching for wildlife, petting George the cat, watching the kids play on the hill, and enjoying the sounds of nature all around. We would love to return again for a longer stay, the pictures cannot convey how truly special this place is, it exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you Kathy for your hospitality!

Beautiful scenery and quiet!

We had the absolute best weekend at the Swan House. We had a nice fire by the lake and fishing and corn hole and smores! Everyone in the group agrees, we will be back!!

Great family vacation

The property was so beautiful! Lots of trees! In a great location! It was a very private property with lots to do. Not far from all the things we wanted to see and do as well. It was a great family vacation!

Wonderful Family Vacation!

We had a wonderful and relaxing lake vacation with our family! This home was beautiful, cozy and very well stocked. The kitchen had all the essentials needed and the pool table was a fun amenity. The dock was spacious and the paddle boards were a big hit! The lake access was so quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. Cannot recommend this house more, it was perfect!

Delightful Oasis During Bonnaroo

We journeyed to the Manchester area for Bonnaroo 2023 and were looking for an "off-campus" house for the long weekend. The Swan House was perfect for our family of four, 20-25 minutes from The Farm and on lovely Normandy Lake. Homeowner Kathy was very easy to work with, and the house is clean and peaceful with kayaks and SUPs for exploring the lake. George the cat is quite possibly the friendliest cat on the planet...and an evangelist for the Happy Roo vibe. All in all, Bonnaroo plus the Swan House was a wonderful combination for us, highly recommended if camping with 80,000 dusty, nocturnal friends is not your thing.

The Swan House waa perfect summer stay!

Perfect secluded lake house for a restful vacation, but close enough to Nashville for wedding dress shopping and Lynchburg for distillery tours. Kitchen was well-stocked, so no surprise trips to grocery store. Beautiful outdoor seating with gas grill, gazebo, and fire pit made for good family time. Would definitrly book again!

The perfect get away

Swan House was amazing! Beautiful, peaceful location with enough room for the entire family. The house was very well equipped. The lake was stunning - something there for everyone - fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boards too. Not too far from Nashville too! I would highly recommend Swan House for a family get away!

Incredible Property!

Our host was SUPER helpful to ensure that our stay was awesome. She had the property and grounds very clean and manicured and we didn’t need a single thing. If you want a property with a beautiful setting on the lake, stop your searching. This is where you should stay! We had an amazing experience!

Best Vacation Ever

We visited from Florida and had the best vacation ever, starting with communication from the best host anyone can ask Kathy and stunning fabulous house. Pictures don’t do justice how gorgeous, welcoming is the house and the property. We will definitely be back for 2 weeks in summer! Peaceful and relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was particularly well stocked. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The owners were gracious and accommodating. We will definitely save this as a favorite to visit again.

Family Vacation

A beautiful, private home near a lakeshore gave us a secluded base for hiking and observing nature (deer, turkeys, etc.). The spacious home provided both "gathering places" and "private spaces".

Perfect location

If you want peace and quiet this is the place. The house is beautiful and well maintained. Perfect location on the lake in a quiet cove. We had fun with the paddle boards and kayaks that were provided. Kathy, the owner, was very responsive and the check-in and out process was seamless. Would definitely stay again.

Book this property!

We had 5 adults, 2 teens, and a five year old… there was room for everyone and we all enjoyed their time at the Swan House! George the cat should be listed as an amenity for this property as he was an absolute delight and kept my nephew smiling for hours! Communication with Kathy was amazing! The home was clean, well stocked, and worked so well for our group! Even with 8 people, we all had our own space! I highly recommend The Swan House!

Highly recommend this lakehouse for a little R & R!

This house, coupled with the location, was just what our family needed! I would say the house in person was better than the pictures. They were always responsive to anything we needed and were a pleasure to deal with. Between the beautiful lake that’s not commercialized, George (the coolest cat ever), and ALL of the waterfalls with a few miles of the house - we will certainly be back! I’ll add that we travel pretty often and our kids said this was their favorite vacation!

Home away from home

This house is absolutely amazing and was perfect for our family adventure in Tennessee. If you are looking for an incredible place to stay - this is it! Book It Now. We were beyond thrilled when we pulled up to the house. It was our own private home away from home. The house is located next to Normandy Lake at the end of a beautiful tree lined road and the amenities are awesome! We absolutely enjoyed playing in the lake - fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and the lily pad was so much fun! The view from the back porch is stunning and coffee in the morning on the patio listening to the fountain, the birds and cicadas was a great way to disconnect and be part of nature! The house has everything you need as if you were at home. We loved that we could cook our meals, BBQ in the evening, and relax at the lake, play pool, and even have a family movie night! The rooms were great and could easily accommodate the six of us. The house was clean, stocked with all the kitchen dishes, pans, coffee makers, and appliances - which was important for us since we prefer to cook our meals on vacation! The host Kathy is wonderful and I appreciated how helpful she was throughout the process. We also appreciated the visit from the house keeper to ensure we had everything that we needed. (Thanks for the fresh garden vegetables!) Finally, I would be remiss without mentioning George! This adorable host cat became a part of the family during our stay. The kids adored him and loved giving him lots of love and attention. We highly recommend this home for your stay in Tennessee. We look forward to when we can return stay again at the Swan house.

Perfect Rental

We had constant personal communication with the property manager, and it is the perfect location. Sitting at the lake, looking at mountains. The house is secluded and on a cove. Very quiet and private. The house is absolutely stunning, very very clean, newly remodeled, more then enough room for large groups (inside and outside spaces) and all the comforts of home. The house also comes with a yard mate, George! THE coolest cat on the planet. Very loving, but out of the way. He will fish on the dock with you or sleep on the outside couch with you. We can't say enough good things about George! Our kids had a blast on the paddle boards, kayaks, and floating mat. The water in the cove is perfect for swimming! No current, very private, no through traffic, and around the dock was shallow enough for our 8 year old to stand. There are even cornhole boards provided. The wifi is amazing according to the 5 kids we had with us. Everything from the beds to the towels were the highest quality. The detail and thought that went into making this a rental was amazing! This is the perfect rental! I highly recommend, and we will be back!

Fabulous Picturesque Location

The Swan House is such a fabulous home with Great amenities! The home hostess is very personable and engaging with open lines of communication from booking, check-in details, and during your stay to ensure all is well. Ideal location to relax as well as spend time visiting caverns, hiking trails and some historical Tennessee sites, all within a nice country drive from home. As others mentioned, the house is wonderful with unique wood architectural features throughout and descriptions are spot-on with website pictures, yet so much more character, truly spacious, and how lovely the place is in person! Well worth a visit for a memorable family stay!

Refreshing Stay

This is an absolutely beautiful home with lots of room to spread out. Our young people thoroughly enjoyed the pool table. The house smelled wonderfully clean when we walked through the front door, and the actual cleanliness surpassed the "smell." The house was well-stocked, and we enjoyed being able to prepare several meals during our stay. There are two full bathrooms upstairs and one and a half bathrooms downstairs (a sink and a toilet in the bathroom off of the kitchen) which worked great for our group. We hiked to Foster Falls and hiked in Old Stone Fort Park; and J&G and Jiffy Burger were both delicious restaurant choices. We enjoyed about 30 turkeys in the backyard one morning. Overall, it was a refreshing stay for our group. Thanks so much!!

Swan House A Must ❤️

First off when you pull up to the property from the very long private lane you are in awe! Absolutely beautiful was the first thing I said. You walk in to a very clean and beautifully decorated home. Each room was so very comfortable and inviting. Beds were so very comfy for each of us. The entire house had everything we could have needed as if we were at home. The kitchen was full of appliances, dishes, 2 coffee makers, toaster, I mean everything I needed for each meal was here. Outside we had our buddy George( the cat). He’s a ham for pics. Extremely loved and will walk with you like he is part of the family. Walked to the waters edge for pics. Sat outside every day and night. The bubble pond is a nice touch. The back area had so much seating for all of us. The view just wow what a view. We stayed in December I can’t imagine how it would be in the spring summer or fall. So my review is a 10 out of 10. Our family loved this House and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay here. Kathy was the best hostess ever. Answers any and all questions and very helpful. We entered the house to fresh baked cookies. Come on so perfect. I guess I went on a bit but people should understand exactly how amazing this property is. Thank you for having us. If we ever need a home in the area this is where we will stay for sure. Last thing the pics did not do the house it’s due justice. Great pics but walking into the home you are just taken back at it’s beauty.

Wonderful

Beautiful home, very clean and welcoming, we had 7 adults and 3yr old. 3 and half baths were amazing. We visited for Thanksgiving week, fall leaves, great view. Our family enjoyed walking in the lake (water was drained this time of year). We went for a quick ride in the kayak, which they loved but was cold. Our 3yr old grandson, loved the "Big House" and didn't want to leave. Great location, we visited Chattanooga, Murfreesboro, Manchester, Tullahoma all short drives from the house. We visited Lynchburg which we all loved, recommend it. Ms. Kathy is so sweet and very helpful, a wonderful host. We also loved George the cat, greatest tour guide. Only thing that would of made our stay better would of been a sleeper sofa in the office which would of gave us another bedroom. But we would definitely stay here again.
