Our family of four had a lovely stay to celebrate a milestone birthday. Our hosts went above and beyond and even put up birthday decorations in advance! We especially loved that the property was directly on the river and thoroughly enjoyed cozying up next to the fireplace at night. Highly recommend!
This cottage was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and conveniently located near Snoqualmie and North Bend restaurants and shops, also an easy drive for skiing at Summit at Snoqualmie Ski Resort.
Totally enjoyed our stay at the River Song Chalet. A wonderful place to relax with family. It had all the amenities needed to prepare home cooked meals. The view was outstanding with the river flowing in backyard while lulling you to sleep. Will definitely be back for a longer stay!!!
My family and here stayed the weekend to get away from the city and enjoy some quality time. Many hours were spent around the fire pit and at the grill. We loved spending time amongst the trees with the river flowing in the background. The house warms quickly and is very cozy to get together downstairs and watch tv. Kitchen was well stocked with the equipment we needed to cook with. Would definitely visit again.
River's Edge Chalet was a perfect location for us. I was running a marathon in Snoqualmie, and this was on the run route. The chalet included everything we needed - cooking, bbq, and laundry. Valerie and DeAnne were super responsive.
ive lived in a city all my life and this chalet and its beautiful view over the river and gorgeous douglas firs healed me and soothed my cells. the house itself was clean and homey. will definitely be back at some point!
Very cute and cozy cabin on the South Fork River. Super quiet and tucked behind huge cedar trees. Location is close to North Bend amenities and the Summit at Snoqualmie for tubing, skiing and snowboarding. We enjoyed hearing the river at night that lulled us to sleep. We wished that the weather had afforded us the opportunity to hang out on the deck overlooking the river, but the view from inside was stunning.
We had my nephews wedding at the North Fork Farms venue. This VRBO was close to the event, but mostly we loved how relaxing it was to stay here. Being so close to the beautiful river and forest surroundings made this stay fun and relaxing. The neighbors were friendly and made us feel like we have known each other for a while. I would stay here again if I ever needed a place to stay in North Bend WA.
Property was great. Had a great walking/ bike trail right around the corner. The neighborhood even has a small park for kiddos. The river vies were amazing and the absolute focal point of this house. Cozy with a gas fireplace and close to a little general store and freeway. We had a dog and child and this property was able to accommodate.
This was exactly what we needed! The chalet is in a quiet neighborhood but feels very isolated. The property is aptly named, as the song of the river was so therapeutic, washing away the stress and worry we brought with us. The only way this visit could have been better would be falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the river, next time I'll bring a cot to sleep on the back deck!
I came to North Bend to run the tunnel marathon that started at Hyak State Park. I had no idea that the finish line was only two miles away from our rental. It was a perfect, quiet spot. The river was amazing and we spent hours outside reading. I highly recommend it. Cheers!
Overall was very good. However tub and bathroom sink backed up creating a pool of water that slowly drained. Smoke alarm in bedroom - Battery died. I replaced with one I found in a drawer. It was also dead.
This property is beautiful! The driveway is tucked between big tall trees, with a lovely little pebble path to the front of the cottage - absolutely charming! It's almost the last house on the road, and feels quiet. The house itself has a cabin-like atmosphere, and impressive huge windows and sliding glass door that face the back of the house directly above the river! Quiet on the inside, but if you step out onto the huge back porch, the river is loud, with beautiful forest all around. I loved sitting on the porch, or when it was drizzly and cold sitting inside and enjoying the tremendous view right outside the windows! There is a spiral staircase that our kids thought was the epidomy of cool (I wouldn't want babies/toddlers here), but the living room seating leaves a little to be desired. The kitchen was well stocked, and the gas fireplace was super cozy! My one qualm was the requirement to wash the dishes, dry AND put them away before we leave. This is a lot to juggle. Easy to start a dishwasher, but being expected to coordinate drying and putting away dishes before departure is asking a lot compared to other rentals. However, it was worth the stay here for sure, and I would definitely book it again. Lots of cool hikes and waterfalls just 10 minutes in multiple directions! We could've spent a week in that amazing area!
Awesome location on the river! Perfect for Tunnel Vision Marathon!
The LOCATION is perfect if you are running the Tunnel Vision Marathon!!! The house is located .7 mile from the finish line. It’s a short walk to the intersection of the race course trail, and then turn right onto the trail and it’s a short way to the finish line. So good—because there’s no parking at the finish. (Your other option is to get bussed back to your car at the start.) This is a very clever work-around. Good for spectators too—since view points along the remote trail are limited. I went to Mt Washington trailhead at mile 16.4, then drove back to the chalet and walked to the finish. ✅ Yes this cute chalet on the river is as gorgeous as the photos show! The kitchen could be better supplied with new pots & pans and plastic storage containers for leftovers, nicer drinking glasses, fresh cupboard basics like olive oil, etc. Cushions on the wooden dining chairs would be welcome. Whoever sleeps on the bed in the loft needs to be a tall & nimble person OR able to climb up on the bench at foot of the bed, to get up on top of the bed—it’s very tall. It worked for us but may not for those with any mobility issues. And note the spiral staircase too. Overall a beautiful quiet location with calming views of the river flanked by pine trees. Hosts are very nice to work with and respond quickly to messages and questions. Don’t miss this charming place! Book it!
