"There was new siding being installed while we were there. The contractors had debris in the planters and in the parking spots. This is not big issue as I'm sure it will all be cleaned up when the project is complete. We like to stay here because it's away from the congested part of town. It's quite and peaceful."

Seabird Lodge

Seabird Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent value for the price & location. Comfortable bed & pillows, patio was small-ish but adequate. Room had coffee-maker, good-sized fridge & small microwave. We did not use the indoor swimming pool or hot-tub, but appreciated the hot breakfasts (eggs, sausage, waffles), bread, cereal, fruit. Location was a short walk to Safeway for necessities, & Starbucks. A Mexican restaurant in front of the property has a good menu. Next door also a Roundtable Pizza, Mountain Mike's. Short drive downhill to Noyo Harbor for good restaurants & an interesting Distillery. Just 2 mile drive north to McKerricher state park & barely a mile south to the spectacular Mendocino Botanical Gardens. This hotel is by no means posh or luxurious (small bar soap, medium size bathtowels, etc) but the room had everything we needed for a 2-night stay. Good sized table had 2 chairs, and another armchair. Wifi was good; there was also a table-fan & extra blanket, if needed."

"Best hotel I've ever stayed at for under $200. Beautiful property, huge room with movie rentals and room service. I accidentally locked myself out of the room putting the room service table in the hallway and the staff immediately got me back into my room and were very friendly. Lost of on-site things to do outside of gamblin with a bowling alley and movie theater and more being on the property."

The Beach House Inn

The Beach House Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Easy access to town & beaches & fabulous staff (all three desk clerks that we met - Cassie, especially, helped solve a problem!). We had a downstairs room in the 400 building, yet the balcony was perched high above the estuary, so it had the feel of an upstairs room without needing to take stairs! Even chairs & table to put out on balcony! Bring binoculars! Ample parking close to rooms. Rooms sooo clean, despite being near sandy beaches! Plentiful amenities, even individual 1/2 & 1/2s & teabags in lobby to use with Keurig in room. Huge luxurious shower. Don’t miss Larry Spring Museum on Redwood St. & Mendocino Coastal Botanical Gardens (pricey, but worth it). Flowers on lobby desk from those Gardens. No electric charger for electric cars at Beach House but they were able to refer us to nearby Beachcomber Inn & additionally we found several available chargers of various speeds, taking credit cards in town. Perhaps the desk could have a list of those with addresses if there are more requests…though we found it on an app."

"Very Surprised, room was very clean and all amenities worked. Except for the internet on the TV would've been nice. Overall a comfy stay. Check in was easy with assistant over the video chat check in process."

Motel 6 Fort Bragg, CA

Motel 6 Fort Bragg, CA

8/10 Good
"First and foremost, this Motel 6 is in a very convenient location in Fort Bragg - close to everything locally & a very easy stop if you are only passing through. The property/rooms are showing their age and associated wear and tear, but repair work seems to be underway. In the meantime, the basics needed for a comfortable stay are covered! The heater/AC unit worked well. Water got hot quickly (and stayed hot) in both shower and sink. The water pressure in the shower was better than expected. The fridge was ice cold. The mattress was just fine. Plenty of parking, safe and well-lit. I felt ok leaving a few things in the car overnight and had no issues. Most of the staff were friendly. I love that dogs stay free at Motel 6!! Lastly, fresh, hot coffee in the lobby starting at 6am was greatly appreciated."
