“The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.”

“Our stay at this bed and breakfast was fantastic! The festive Christmas atmosphere made everything feel cozy and magical. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. I would definitely stay here again! ”

“There was lots of parking. The room was clean, although it did smell a bit Smokey. There was no coffee maker in the room which I thought there was supposed to be. I could be wrong. The bed was comfy and it was quiet. We made use of the jacuzzi tub which was nice.”

“The room was clean. The staff accoumadated us becuase they booked us on the second floor and they moved us to the first floor to accomadate bexause of mobility issues ”

“Didnt use the laundry. The exterior was being renovated so they appear to be putting mo ey back into the place. Staff were friendly. It was winter when I stayed there. The heater worked very well. Lots of parking. Food places, mostly fast food, in the area seem to close around 11pm-12am. ”

“On Expedia, it writes $52 one night, but when you be there, they said the cheapest there is $75 one night. Plus, the blankets there stinks.”

“Reception didntbeven looked reception some part in a hallway boxes all over a desk blocking the area to make it a makeshift reception. The staff at Reception was rudest person alive, didnt greet didnt explain anything, snatched my ID off hand put machine in front of me to charge extra, when I asked what is this for I already paid through expedia these barely spoke a word 'Security'. I asked Security of who 'you or me' then stated secority deposit if you break anything. gave me the access card……

“Shower doors weren't cleaned completely but the rest of the premises are fantastic! Great location. The host was more than accommodating and prompt and they were thoughtful enough to leave 2 robes for our comfort, which was greatly appreciated. My only suggestion: I get that it's winter and I'm a Canadian, but re: the hot tub is to maybe install a wall of some kind/wrap the 3 sides in winter to block the wind. I still enjoyed it in the blizzard! I also noticed that there wasn't a spare blanket……

“Building is massive but once adjusted it was great. Amazing rooms, staff was amazing at front desk, only downside was that the pool was freezing. ”
