Great Cabin in the Winter Wonderland
Enjoyed this cozy cabin with my son! About 50 yards from the river and while there is a cabin next door, it's very private. Enjoyed the local ice carving, sled dog tour and ice fishing. Didn't see the northern lights this time but have to leave something for the next trip! Def recommend this place!

Great cabin. Saw some northern lights.
Great cabin with some great hosts. The cabin is outside of town a little, which makes it very peaceful. My wife and I visited to see some northern lights and did not get disappointed. It was really cold in January, but the cabin had in-floor heating and was cozy. The kitchen is small (no garbage disposal, or dishwasher) but had everything we needed. I hope to go back in the summer to see some wildlife.

Close to Fairbanks and North Pole. Excellent viewing for Northern lights. We were there in February so we can not comment on the river. The host are so welcoming and communication was easy. Highly recommend staying here!

Chasing the Lights
My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Riverbend Cabins. We stayed in the Chinook Cabin, and it was warm, cozy and inviting. You have everything you need to cook a meal, and the view is just beautiful. Heather was kind enough to text us when the northern lights were out, and also when there was a moose in the yard! We would not hesitate to recommend staying in the Riverbend Cabins to others.

Very nice and super cozy cabin. Far away from the city to have that complete woods and nature atmosphere. But still only 30 min from the airport or 20 min from downtown.

Beautiful quaint location. Host (Heather) is lovely and very responsive and accommodating. Cabin is comfortable & clean. Pretty much exactly what we expected. Will be coming back here again. You can see the Aurora from the cabin!

Great cabin on the Chena River
This place is legit! We were in Fairbanks to visit family and needed a palce to stay. The cabin is in a great location. It’s far enough from Fairbanks to be out of the city but close enough that it doesn’t take long to drive there. The location is beautiful. The cabins are along the Chena River, and the friendly property owners told us we were welcome to hang out by the river and use the fire pits. The cabin has great Alaska charm with all the amenities. It has two floors with plenty of space for our family of four. The bathrooms are nice, and the kitchen is well-appointed for cooking meals. Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a balcony that was nice for sitting on and viewing the river. Most important, the cabin was clean! This is the main way we judge VRBOs. There were plenty of towels and other items. The check-in process was also simple. We received a text telling us the cabin was ready and we were able to walk in and start our stay. If you’re looking for a place to stay close to Fairbanks with at Alaska charm that is clean and cozy, this is your place!

This was a very cozy cabin, in a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing setting right on the Chena River. The cabin was very clean and tastefully decorated and Heather was wonderful to work with. Even called and offered us a late check-out. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Log Cabin in the Land of Midnight Sun
Log Cabin near Fairbanks was perfect location to relax and further explore inland Alaska. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed walking along the Chena River. We are already planning a future family trip to see the northern lights, and we will definitely contact Heather for reservations!

Winter wonderland!
We absolutely loved our stay at Riverbend cabins. The cabin is close to “downtown” North Pole and about 20 minutes from Fairbanks. While there we saw the Northern Lights several times, mostly from the balcony of the cabin. We also recommend Rod’s Alaskan Guide Service for mushing and snow machining. Heather was a wonderful host- responsive to all our needs and super generous. We would highly recommend to all who are looking for a peaceful spot as a home base from which to explore the interior of Alaska!

Remote location, good for northern lights viewing
The cabin was very nice and in excellent repair. There were minor plumbing issues which the hosts rectified as soon as possible, so they're quite attentive. No complaints.

Would definitely stay again
The cabin is situated just a few miles out of town which we found to be perfect. The lighting in the cabin is very soft and romantic but if you need to locate anything at the bottom of your suitcase a flashlight is helpful. The towels were soft and fluffy. Water pressure was very low. The main bed was very comfortable which I appreciated immensely with a bad back. Door to balcony upstairs was unable to open and jets in tub were also not functioning. Have patience with Netflix to pop up. Drinking water was provided. We went to go snowshoeing on the trail along the river that was noted but it was not an obvious trail in the snow. Can't wait to go back.

Perfect honeymoon spot
The cabin was extremely clean and had an amazing view as it was located right on the river. The location is perfectly centered between town and the Chena hot springs and recreational area. Their are several close places to view the Aruro including your balcony.

Needs updating.
Great host, bathrooms & kitchen need help, new utensils & glassware for kitchen, dishwasher also, shower curtain to dark , TV awful, we are Not movie watchers & would have preferred satellite , water smelled awful , need a softener real bad. ..smelled like water after showered. Cabin cozy, just needs attention to detail. White towels also, much better than dark colors , feel much cleaner. Heather is very nice, but just needs updating. Help you a lot.

Weekend in Fairbanks
Riverbend cabin was a great place for a weekend trip. Heather was very informative and accommodating, assisting my brother-in-law with fishing rods and advice. If you have 4 adults showering, you won’t run out of hot water but the water pressure was variable. Overall our experience was great and I can’t say enough about how much we loved the area. We even saw the Northern lights from the yard!

Amazing Aesthetic and Awesome Location
The cabin is filled with aesthetic touches which makes it great for both short and long-term stays. It is right in the woods - in the backyard, there's direct access to the flowing river. Heather was amazing - she communicated promptly and made sure our stay was great!

Amazing location, perfect cabin!
This was by far the best cabin we stayed in on our trip through Alaska. The log cabin located on the Chena River is perfect! Loved everything about it, the peace and quiet, the fishing. Outside of town it’s was a short drive to Fairbanks and other activities. Would stay again if the opportunity arises. Thank you!

Beautiful Cabin
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The cabin is beautiful, fitted with comfortable beds, kitchen basics, a warm heater and lots of clean towels. The location is perfect, too! You’re close to any store/restaurant you need while also being far enough to feel remote. The home has pic nic tables and fire pits outside. Also, it’s right on the Chena River so my husband enjoyed a little after dinner fishing. The host was great too, answering questions when we had them but otherwise left us to our own plans. I truly cannot stress in words how perfect this stay was for us but please trust that anyone would be lucky to book this cabin! Thank you so much for your amazing accommodations Gary & Heather.

Drove 25 miles to cleary pass to watch the lights. Was a good show BUT got back to the cabin and it was even better view as the lights danced above our heads. Lots of snow when we were there. Paths were cleared very well for us! Cabin was warm and very well stocked and very clean! Location is amazing. Easy to get to and right by the River, but it was frozen solid. Very easy access to town and North Pole but it feels isolated. We had a moose right outside our window one morning. Owner texted us and checked on us and that was appreciated.

Really enjoyed my stay here and wish it could have been longer! Heather was quick with responses and great at making sure I had the proper address and that she was there if I needed anything. The cabin was cozy and very peaceful to be out of the city area and closer to nature. There was a lot of snow during my stay but I still enjoyed taking walks along the river and sitting out on the balcony and porch. Highly recommend! Thank you Heather.
