“Cute little place perfect for 2. Gated and very safe. Location was ideal bc you can walk to everything even in the pouring rain but so quiet- no street noise or bar noise. You can hear if people are parking but that’s it. Just bc your window is right there but not a big deal. Plenty of parking. Check in./check out was a breeze. Air conditioning, hot water, internet and tv (it poured so we did use tv) all great. Bed was very comfy but does dip in the middle. Pillow were good- not the stupid……

“stayed 11 days Feb '26. This is a condo complex. Upon arrival the complex appears dated/tired and the grass was tall. A crew did show to get the landscaping back into shape. Located off a main road and centrally located. Can get to most parts of the island within a 35 minute drive. 5 minutes down the street is a grocery store, another 5 minutes to popular La Reine Chicken Shack. Laundry building is adequate, everything worked, needs paint. The pool water was clean and usable. The stairs,……

“Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! The bed only has a sheet to sleep on, no blankets, and bring extra toilet paper,……

“This is a fantastic place to stay! Beautiful ocean view, great access to Christianstead and owner quickly responds and has wonderful communication. Definitely would stay here again on a return trip. ”

“We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!”
