Adorable Cottage

We absolutely loved the few days we spent at this property. It has everything you need and more. It is a beautiful property. The beds are comfortable and the cottage apartment is cozy. Ken and Vera are lovely people and made our stay pleasurable.

Wonderful!

Our family had a great few days here. The house was immaculate and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool table, paddle boat, kayaking, fishing and swimming in the lake. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Hosts are respectful, accessible and very hospitable.

Excellent!

My family and I stayed in this beautiful lake house at April. It was still cold, but we still caught fish! We played in the game room. It was extraordinary, especially the view of the lake. We will definitely come back in the summer. Thanks Ken and Vera!

Nicest All Round Experience Yet

Photos were spot on, very well kept property. Hosts were attentive and made us feel like family. It was nice to have a person meet us when we arrived instead of a text giving a code like so many others. When we had a question it was answered within minutes. The views were spectacular, lots of fun seeing the wildlife too. Enjoyed the water, biking and short hikes. With family in the area it was so nice we could invite them over as Vera and Ken welcomed their visits. Can’t wait to go back.

Great October adventure

We had a wonderful time staying here over a long weekend! Vera and Ken were amazing hosts. The interior was updated, immaculate, and had plenty of space for my wife, me, and our three kids all under five years old. We took one of the kayaks out several times to fish and explore the two nearby islands. Fishing wasn't bad either! Good mix of northern pike, smallmouth, and largemouth bass. We grilled on the deck each night, played in the yard, and made a fire. The views were spectacular. And the kids loved the mini rocking chairs and bucket of toys! We would absolutely stay here again!

Tranquil & Relaxing

Our stay at Grand lake was just what we needed. We were greeted warmly upon our arrival to a beautiful and immaculate home. Vera & Ken are genuine and kind and was available for anything we needed. We recently got a puppy in our family and this was his first trip with us. Needless to say “Smokey” enjoyed his stay as well. As other users mentioned , the pictures don’t do this property justice. It is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Watching the sunrise and listening to the water was just a few of our favorite things about this place. We loved being able to grill and and have access to kayaking. That of which we enjoyed immensely!!! The property was very clean and gave us a peace of mind in spite of this pandemic. Sometimes you go away and get back home and say “I need a vacation”. But, if are looking for a perfect getaway, THIS IS IT!!! I have already told all our friends and family so they can book in the future. We will definitely be back!! Come here for peace and serenity

What a wonderful place! If you want to get away and center your mind, come here. Comfortable, clean and secluded. Everything you need is here, and Ken was very helpful. Best vacation I've had and the whole family recharged their batteries.

Ice fishing weekend

Great time ice fishing. We were 5 guys and fit fine at the rental. Kitchen was well equipped for making meals. Access to river during the winter with a side by side we had to go to different entry point but it wasn’t far. Owner was next door so any questions were addressed immediately. Would recommend.

Relaxing with a view

The rental was beautiful inside. It had everthing that we needed. But the real beauty is the view. It was so quiet and relaxing. Ken was a great host.

Beautiful place!

We had been coming up to Big Lake for many years and staying at other cabins. This was a great upgrade in every aspect. Roomy and updated kitchen, comfortable beds and spacious and clean bathroom. We had access to almost everything on the property including fire pit(s), gas grill, gazebo and pool table! Even when we had a rainy day that kept us from a full day of fishing, there was plenty to keep us and our 10 year old busy (pool table / direct TV etc). The host, Ken, was very pleasant and helpful. He even let us borrow a few fishing lures!. There was a communication issue on renting his boat, which was not available when we thought is was. He was quick to get us a contact to rent a boat, which was brought to the nearby boat launch within 2 hours. The location is serene and exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to come back!

What an incredible location!

We love staying at this lovely little cabin. This is a serene, quiet property off the beaten path and the views from the deck and yard are amazingly beautiful. This was our second stay and won’t be our last! Ken is a kind and accommodating host. I highly recommend this property!

Relaxing place

The place is beautiful and so relaxing. Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Ken is a perfect host - kind and helpful and accomodating. The lodging was comfortable and clean and well stocked with anything we needed. There is nothing to improve or change. Its that good. Note that Ken's directions is the best route to follow - better than alternate route of the GPS.
