"It ist a good place to be reached by car, Not so much by Public Transport."

"You get what you pay for, a very simple, dark room for little money. Nothing spectacular, average experience, good for having a bed while you are visiting Piteå. Wifi reception was not so good in my room. Only great thing was the breakfast, because it is the same as in Kust Hotel a block away, which is a fancy establishment."

"Family driven place with genuine “Jämtland countryside” feel to it. Outstanding service with a personal touch - I had numerous pleasant chats (way beyond standard “service chats”) with the entire host family. Warmly recommended!"

"Auf der langen Fahrt von Süddeutschland zu den Lofoten habe ich hier eine wunderbar ruhige erholsame Nacht verbracht. Etwas abseits, durch Zufall gefunden. Mein kleines Einzelzimmer war super sauber und völlig ausreichend. Die Besitzer sind beide sehr angenehme Menschen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls perfekt; alles bio, das selbst gebackene Brot wunderbar. Das Haus selbst ist ein Juwel. Die Besitzerfamilie wohnt im Haus nebenan. Man ist völlig für sich. "This was exactly what we were looking for on our trip around Sweden. The property is in a small town that is beautiful. The room was comfortable and Maria’s service was great. It was very convenient that they also have a cafe attached that we had dinner at as well, food was very good. Our only regret was not booking more time here to see more of the area and enjoy the hospitality. If we are back this way we will for sure stay here again."

Elite Hotel Frost – Hotel & Spa

"I had a great experience at the Elite Hotel Frost. This was helped, I’m sure, by the fact that I was given a free upgrade to a premium room. The front desk staff were delightful. The lobby was very cozy (giving it a somewhat different feel from the Scandic Hotel around the corner). The restaurant had excellent Lapland-themed meals for dinner and a traditional Swedish breakfast with lots of options (including vegan ones). I loved the design of my room, which was simultaneously upscale and contemporary, but also really brought the feeling of nature into the room. The bed was comfortable, and they had a “pillow menu,” so guests with different preferences could choose the firmness and thickness that worked best for them. The bathroom, similarly, had a stand-out design, with nice use of indirect lighting… and a towel warmer. Being a new hotel, the whole place was impeccable. The newness had its downsides, as the hotel was still a work in progress. The parking garage was not completed (which was fine, since I was there in August and not the snowy months). The spa was open (pool and sauna), but had not yet started offering spa treatments. On the whole, I liked the Elite Frost better than the Scandic, where I stayed last year, though the free upgrade maybe makes this an unfair comparison. Elite Hotel Frost will be my hotel of choice when in Kiruna."
