“Loved our stay at the Mill! It was perfect for a family. The kids loved seeing the animals. It is quiet and peaceful and beautifully decorated. There are little touches everywhere that made it a little extra. There is a beautiful reserve adjacent to the property where we hiked and swam in the creek. We also enjoyed some time at the family’s winery. Hosts are super attentive and communicative. Five stars!”

“It is in a lovely neighborhood and the hosts were very welcoming of us and my 2 dogs. We were all very comfortable.”

“What a wonderful weekend! We were in town with two other families to watch our boys play lacrosse in a tournament. Instead of staying in a boring hotel we had this beautiful retreat in the woods after a long day of games. Parents sat by the fire and relaxed while the boys played pickleball, kayaked, yard games, etc. Our only regret is that it took us 5 years of traveling for sports to figure this out!! Thanks for a great weekend--we hope to be back next summer.”

“My girlfriend and I were in town for a wedding and the VRBO was perfect. Great privacy, lovely decor, and comfortable bed. A full use kitchen was great to have. Cheech (the pig!!) was so friendly and the host even dropped off carrots for us to feed him. The host responded to every question in a timely manner and check in and check out were painless.”

“The property is remote and very quiet. The host informed us of the details of the directions which helped a lot. It is very easy to get into Port Deposit where they have a wonderful coffee shop and several great restaurants. The room was very spacious and well equipped.”

“Beautifully done old house, several stories beware lots of stairs. Parking situation a little precarious but overall the stay was wonderful and the host was wonderful.”

“My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night as a little escape from our normal routine, and it was absolutely perfect. The bungalow is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly romantic. The views of the Chesapeake Bay were amazing — we watched both the sunset and sunrise from the deck and they were truly picturesque. The place itself was spotless and thoughtfully set up. The small touches really stood out — robes, slippers, and snacks were waiting for us, which made it feel extra welcoming. We also……

“The host was excellent and quickly addressed an electrical issue.”

“This cottage was exactly as described and has everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked. The fire pit was great to sit and relax around after a busy day out and about. Candy and Freddie are excellent hosts--very responsive, helpful, and welcoming! Lulu, Angel, and Josie were welcoming pets! No complaints at all about our stay and we would definitely stay again when/if we are back in the area!”

“The environment is really quiet, and I love the sounds of nature. Even though it rained at night, it didn't stop us from calming down - it was really soothing. One thing to note is that the bedding smelled really bad; I wonder if they could replace it with fresh ones. I'm pretty satisfied with this trip and might come back next year.”

“Beautiful peaceful wonderful Cottage! Our hostess made sure everything was ok and even gave us fresh eggs and tomatoes! We will definitely be coming back and staying here again!”

“Wonderful spot for five ladies to enjoy an evening away close to Chesapeake City”

“This cabin was over the top! Well appointed, comfortable and clean. We will be back”

“Host was very communicative.”

“Thank you E.B. and Traci, We unexpectedly were greeted upon our arrival. It was such a pleasure to meet you and chat a bit. You welcomed us with a perfectly clean house and property. Every minute of our 5 night stay was perfect. We had a few family members visit and they all loved this priceless spot on the river front. Kayaking, I think was our high light. Games at night, and even a thunderstorm to watch. So wonderful! Thanks Again, Jan and Harry B.”
