Our stay at the Burghotel Das Original was outstanding. The staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and spotless - would highly recommend and we will return again.

Customer service was excellent and the hotel is very convenient to all that the old town has to offer. We were allowed to check in early, which was a huge blessing. The room was very comfortable. We were able to walk easily anywhere we wanted to go. This was the perfect stay for our visit to the Nuremberg Christmas markets and we would highly recommend!

Compact, cosy & comfortable! And a really warm welcome when I arrived late at night from Vienna. Perfect for a two night stay to explore the fab city of Nuremberg, visit the Christmas markets & try the gluhwein! Highly recommend the castle too (including the tower & the deep well) if you have time, especially on a sunny day :)

We had a lovely stay, made possible only by the excellent accommodation made for us by the staff at Burghotel. One of the great selling points is the excellent location, particularly for those interested in the fortress and the Albrecht Durer house. We are planning a return trip next year, and will definitely stay here again!

I had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking a quiet garden. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and breakfast, on the one day I was able to get it, was superb. The only reason I give only four stars for staff and service is that the proprietors aren’t able to find enough qualified staff to allow them to provide services (like breakfast) every day. I hope they can resolve that problem. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay at the Burghotel-das Original. Vanessa and staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom a bit small but met our needs. We were on the top floor (72 steps one way) so if you have mobility issues please let Vanessa know. She will do her best to make accommodation and one side hotel has an elevator. I climbed those steps and it was worth every one. The Gatsby bar at night after a day of sightseeing or Christmas Market before tackling the stairs was a lovely ending with our hostess P. The upstairs rooms were for a family of 3 and worked very well for us. We paid for our breakfast and it was worth it. The food offerings were plentiful and if needed could request eggs scrambled. Again, Vanessa and staff very attentive and friendly. I would stay again. Thanks you to Vanessa’s mother for the traditional Christmas cookies waiting in our room. So Yummy.😋. For Christmas 🎄 market and the 🏰 Nuremberg Castle is just around the corner. Big reminder: Nuremberg has a lot of steep hills. Walking to all the Christmas Markets and down through Nuremberg was so much fun and The Burghotel -das Original was a great starting point. We walked so far we had to uber back one night. We also used DayTrip car service to take a day trip to Rothenburg Odt. We Dinklesbuhl and on to Strassbourg. Thanks you Vanessa, P( Night host and The Gatsby) and all staff for a wonderful time.
Very top 4th floor 72 steps up. No elevator. Reminder to pack light. Many German hotels do not have elevators. Just let Vanessa know if have limitations she will try to accommodate if knows in advance.

Das Burghotel was the perfect place to stay: very friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms, generous breakfast at a good price, and very quiet at night. See the beautiful red squirrels at the back of the hotel! Located just where we wanted to be, in the heart of the Altstadt. Wunderbar!
Das Burghotel is on Schildgasse, right under the Kaiserburg.
