Before I even get to the review, I would like to express our gratitude to the front desk manager Julian who went way above and beyond his duties to help with a situation regarding lost luggage. He was extremely courteous, helpful, professional and just plain kind to us. Other hotel managers can learn from him.
As for the hotel, it’s located outside the city walls but a fairly short walk to the old town. However, it’s very close to the main train station so it’s very easy to get to and from the airport or if you’re planning on doing day trips from here by rail travel. The rooms themselves are on the smaller side and the bed was too hard for me but they’re clean and quite quiet seeing as one side of the property faces a main road and the other faces a train yard. There is a gym in the building and they offer a complimentary breakfast. It is expensive for what it is but, every hotel in Nuremberg is too so there’s no way around it.
Would I say here again? Sure. Location was convenient and the staff were just amazing. Again, Julian, if you’re reading this review: Thank you for helping us deal with our lost luggage.
