OLG Slots at Georgian Downs

So my actual rating is a solid 3 out of 5 stars. However, I had to remove a star because the pictures of the room on the Expedia website were not honest (at all). Either they are from a completely different building, or were heavily photoshopped or AI generated. We were in the "luxury" one bedroom suite with 1 king bed, and were instantly disappointed and felt deceived when we first walked into it. The most important fact you need to know before booking this "hotel": it is clearly an old (maybe built in the 70s-90s) apartment rental building that was converted into a hotel. They tried to renovate it a bit, but the apartment rental building vibe is still overwhelming. Therefore, it actually feels more like an Airbnb than hotel. So actually, for those who prefer Airbnb homes, but where you don't need to clean and do chores, this can actually be a great option for you. (I despise Airbnb's btw) Anyways, if the hotel management is reading this: please upload true and honest pictures of the units. The unit we were in was actually not THAT bad, but your current pictures clearly misrepresent the "luxury". Please do the right thing.

Great buffet breakfast

The fire alarm was going off for over an hour one evening during a thunderstorm, and as there was no access to the staircase from the ground floor and the elevators were shut off, we were just stuck waiting in the lobby until they figured out how to turn it off. Aside from the whole situation being very disorganized, the hotel was clean, and staff were friendly.
