Roomy & Quiet Getaway
This is a lovely home tucked away in a residental area of Oak Island with surprising views! Standing on the covered porch if you look right you have a view of the Intercoastal Waterway, to the left ocean views. The home is spacious and clean with 3 bedrooms, plenty of drawers and good size closets to accommodate lengthy stays. Kitchen is well equipped with small appliances, cookware, utensils and spices/condiments. We were pleasantly surprised by the well stocked pantry of seasonings and sugar. Backyard is welcoming with seating and a firepit for cooler evenings. Located 3 minutes from grocery stores and resturants. Communication with host was friendly and prompt. Our family of 4 enjoyed our short stay. This will be our first choice for future stays. Thank yall again!

Short trip to the beach
We came to the beach for just a quick get-away. The weather wasn't working with us too well but a rainy day at the beach is ALWAYS better than a day at work! The home is as described and better. We had everything we needed plus more. I was please to find that they had all the extras like a Splenda packet for my morning coffee (i forgot to bring) and cleaning supplies for our use incase they were needed. Tons of books and board games and multiple TV's. Just perfect.

Pleasant stay
Good location. Quiet neighborhood. This is an older house showing some wear but the home was clean and comfortable. (Wear examples: handle on main bedroom shower coming off, porch wobbly). Pros: living room furniture comfy. Washer and dryer available in home. Plenty of stuff you’d need like toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, etc. Even coffee filters. Beds were comfy. All lighting and appliances were in good condition. Easy check in/communication and same for check out. 3-4 minute walk to the beach. Good size home for 2-6 people.

This home was very lovely and cozy. The host communicated in a timely manner and the location was great. It was really close to the beach and stores. My family and I enjoyed walking on the beach and fishing during our stay. We were also able to cook with all of the utensils, seasonings, and pans provided. 10/10 home

Great communication from the host. Less than 5 min drive to the pier. Great tips on the fridge for beach access and quick drive one street over if you didn’t want to walk. Quiet neighborhood. Clean house. Shower takes awhile to warm up.

This was a great home away from home for the week. Kitchen provided everything we needed. Master bed & bathroom was actually bigger than I thought it was going to be. Beds were comfy. Loved having access to a washer and dryer. Distance to beach was farther than I thought it was going to be. However we were at the beach mostly in the evening when you didn't have to pay to park, so it wasn't much of an issue. Owner was very helpful in answering questions / concerns and response time was very quick.

Good location; we used this house as a second spot for a few extra bedrooms for a large family reunion. It had everything we needed although we didn't spend much time at this location. Kitchen was stocked, house was clean. The only small gap was communication on how to leave the property/sheets. The instructions on the fridge mentioned we had to have all linens and towels cleaned but in messaging with the host, we were to just leave them on the washing machine. No issues at all, it was an easy 15 min/0.8mi walk to the other house and beach area. We were all adults so walking kids may have been different. Quiet neighborhood.

Just what we needed
I visited the island with my sister and a friend to check construction of our own house there. This house was exactly what we needed and we were able to book a partial week (which is not always the case). It had three bedrooms with two baths and a fully stocked kitchen so it was a comfortable stay for us all. We enjoyed the front porch in the afternoons too! There was a little hiccup with check-in but it was completely my fault for not checking with the owner prior to a late arrival to obtain a code for the lock. Even then, the host was quick to respond and we had access to the house within just a few minutes.

Summary of our stay
This property needs much TLC attention. Most notably the front steps definitely need to be addressed before someone falls and/or gets hurt. They are detached from the porch, the railings are loose and there are no safety treads. We were afraid to use the side outdoor steps as the base wood is rotting. Both sets of out door steps gave us much fear and concern. The inside was clean and acceptable. It would have been helpful to have written instructions as to how to use the TV.

Nice beach house
The house was nice and clean. Could have used a few more dish clothes...ither than that, well stocked. Shower head in 2nd bathroom was low and made it difficult to use for a couple of us. A/C worked very well. Longer walk to the beach than we anticipated...had to take a vehicle but all in all, nice place and would recommend.

Great weekend at the beach!
The property was very clean and was just like it appears in the pictures. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 5 of us. There were a few things different from the listing. There were only 2 small beach towels and 4 beach chairs, 3 of which are broken. Also, there was no shampoo. There were no dishwasher pods, no dish rags and only 1 drying towel so doing dishes was more of a challenge than expected. Finally, it's a long walk to the beach but we drove and had no trouble finding a parking spot. Overall, it is a good value and the beach was very kid-friendly.

This house is located in a very quiet neighborhood and easy to get to. It is well equipped except for there are no kitchen towels or dishcloths. Nice porch for lounging and a lovely fire pit in back. Only 3 to 4 blocks to the beach. Very nice place!

Friends reunion!
We met another couple, long time friends, who moved a few years ago. We chose Oak Island as a spot to stay and found this perfect home to reunite for the week. A couple of blocks from the beach for easy fishing and beach time, close to tons of shops, restaurants and grocery stores! It was a memory making for our group and enjoyed the the front porch in the quiet neighborhood for many conversations and relaxations!

The fellas went for a fishing trip! Perfect house for us plenty of room to relax. Mike is amazing came home unpacking truck realized I had forgotten laptop. Needed it next day.
