"Our two-week stay at Cielo Zapoteco Hotel was absolutely incredible ✨, and we’re already planning our next trip there! 🇲🇽✈️ From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome 🤗. They were genuinely kind, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed—it truly made our experience extra special 💛. The location couldn’t be better 📍—just a short walk to the Zócalo de Oaxaca, which made exploring the city so easy. The area felt very safe, and there are tons of shops 🛍️ and little spots to discover right outside your door. We loved being able to walk everywhere, including to the Mercado 20 de Noviembre and Mercado Benito Juárez—both about a 10–15 minute stroll 🕒. The hotel itself is charming and cozy 🏡, with only 8 rooms, which makes it feel peaceful and personal rather than crowded 🌿. Our room was always clean and comfortable 🛏️—exactly what you want after a day of exploring 🌞. Rooms also have air conditioning. The local people in Oaxaca are so welcoming and friendly 😊—it added so much to our overall experience 💫. We’re so glad we chose Cielo Zapoteco for our stay 🙌. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Oaxaca—you won’t be disappointed!"

"Excellent balance between price and benefits, it has a great location about six blocks from the cathedral and about two blocks from the market. The staff is very nice and polite, I loved the pool. They have limited parking space within the hotel premises but if you pay a little extra they offer parking space around the corner ($140 which is roughly $7 usd for 2 nights), it is also pet friendly it costs $150 per day which is aroun $7.5 usd. Althought it is not sound proof and the rooms are very plain I think for the cost it is worth it, I would definitely recommend it and will use it again in the future."

"The location of the hotel is the #1 reason to stay, walking distance to anywhere, you don’t need a rental car to visit main places in downtown. Tours pick u up from the hotel! The staff is the star 🌟 of the hotel, everyone was helpful, attentive and friendly! The shower need some improvement and the room needs some renovation, like the closet. Beds are nicely firm 👍 I really enjoyed my time in Oaxaca City! It is so beautiful 💕"

"Stunning property. Lovely pool. Buffet breakfast was not accommodating for someone who doesn't eat meat. I did request a small piece of smoked salmon but was told that would be à la cart. For $40 to eat an omelette and some fruit I could have done better elsewhere but the grounds are amazing and the room and bed was very comfortable!"

"If not for the fresh fruits and yoghurt at breakfast, the stay would have been below average. The rooms lack proper ventilation, and guests are requested to keep the only small bathroom window open to allow for airflow."
