The hotel is understaffed and a few people are working very hard to try to make things comfortable. Just be prepared to wait. The light coloured furniture, walls, carpeting and the large window keep the room looking bright. The hotel is very close to the Neuengasse entrance/exit from the SBB train station. This made it very convenient for us to explore other Swiss cities and get to Zurich airport by rail. Bern’s key tourist attractions are all within walking distance if the hotel. There is an abundance of shopping and dining establishments in the area. We would definitely stay at the Savoy again. "
