Spent two weeks end of June/beginning og July at this wonderful house. We were 5 adults and 4 children, and the accomodations fit us perfectly. Our 4 boys in the age of 9-13, really enjoyed the pool. The pool held around 23-24 degrees celsius, which was fine for us Norwegians. The house is really nice and well equipped.
Nice, but surprisingly cool evenings (had to put on a sweater in the evening outside), which made it very conforable for sleeping. We slept with all sliding door in the bedrooms open, which gave us a nice cool brise inside. Aircondition only in the master bedroom upstair, but the house stayed nice and cool during the day, so it did not get uncomfortably hot inside despite no AC.
The house is in a very small village. There is a bar/cafe very close where the kids ran up for icecream frequently. There is also a restaurant/pizzeria in a walking distance from the villa with really good pizza. Be aware they they do not accept creditcards - only cash.
For the two weeks we spent in Corsica the location of the house suited us very well. Every other day we went on an excursion to a beach or to visit other parts and cities on the island. And every other day we just relaxed at the house. Its about 20 minute drive to Ajaccio and the closest beaches. You are totally dependent on a rental car while staying here.
Roads in Corsica are very poor, and traffic in and around cities can be pretty jammed.
All the beaches and cities we visited was absolutely beautiful and this is really a great place to plan you vacation. We will deffinatly travel back to the island again, and maybe next time stay further North on the island to explore new places.
Highly recommend the house. It was very confortable, clean and nice. The owners are also very service oriented. Cosica in general is a great desination for culture, beaches, beautiful climate (not too hot) and few tourist (when we visited anyway...), good food and mountain hiking. However, for non-French speaking visitor, very few people speak English, and all the menues, road-signs and everthing else is in French only.
