Nice condo with great ocean front balcony

The condo was what you would expect for Ocean City with a great ocean front balcony. The beds were good except the sleeper sofa was like sleeping on springs, so the unit ready should be just for six person to sleep comfortably. The check-in and out was easy with a great staff.

The Pyramid facility was awesome. Great location. Employees were very friendly and helpful. The condo was old, very outdated, needs work. Cushions were stained. The couch and chairs in the living room have seen better days. Dishwasher didn't work. Bathroom situation in primary was odd. Needs a barn door on the bathroom. Condo needs some TLC! Beds were very comfortable.

Wow where to start!?! Upon entering our room, it smelled musty (4E), we noticed they had multiple damprid bags hanging in the closet (that needed to be replaced) where bunk beds were along with damprid buckets through both rooms. Trash under all the beds. Went to move the dresser down and found moldy food under it. 3rd day in we get a visit from security (Dan) at 9pm to inform us that we were making too much noise per our neighbors below us. We have a 2 year old. He said if it wasn’t for his supervisor he wouldn’t have been there. And apologized for having to tell us to quiet down. We already were having quiet time because our child goes to bed at 930. Next day we get another visit from maintenance/security (Butch) at 1230pm who was very rude and told us to quiet down bc of the neighbors again. He said they were complaining of things being scraped across the floor. I explained to him the chairs were just used for lunch and they were slid across ceramic tiles. There’s going to be noise. He was very rude, threatened to tell VACASA and then have us kicked out. After speaking to the manager in the VACASA office on site, she reassured me there was nothing to worry about. She was very kind and went out of her way to help us numerous times throughout the stay. Thursday while the kids were swimming in the outdoor pool, the pool rule enforcer told my children to quiet down because they were being too loud. WHAT?!? Following day we get a knock on the door, our a/c was leaking into the unit below and we had to turn it off and be without ac until Friday morning when the service man could show up. Saturday morning, last day of vacay (thank goodness) we were woken up by the sound of our smoke detectors going off not once but twice at 7am and 715am. Condo had a great kitchen, stainless appliances, bring your own coffee maker though. Bathrooms had mold growing on shower/tub. Overall, never will stay again at pyramid. Def needs a deep cleaning.

Loved the view though. However, floors were filthy, mattresses were not comfortable whatsoever and the pocket door to the master bath was broken and therefore did not close at all. Dim lighting but Vacasa management gave us light bulbs. They were very helpful. Nice location as well. Unit itself not loved by the owners due to floors chipped and bath woodwork coming up at a lot of edges. The paint on the walls looked like someone bumped it in several places with a different color swatch. Feel bad as this unit has potential but fell short.

NO HANDICAP ACCESS

The location and beach were really nice, the hallways and bathrooms were all extremely narrow. As someone who uses a mobility device, this place is NOT accessible. There is no handicap access to the pool or the beach, which was extremely disappointing. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the pool was great to have. It wasn’t listed but linens and towels were included, it would have been nice to know because we wouldn’t have had to pack them.

Book it!

I don’t even know where to start. The price, because it is lower than most, had me thinking “You get what you pay for”. This was our first time renting. The description also says “Ocean view”.. and again I was sure it would be out of a window on a side street. I have Never been So Happy to be wrong! So beautiful! Every single bit. The 24 security is so calming. The shape of the building has your trip to your room an exciting adventure. The short hallway to your door makes you feel like it’s your home. Then open the door… and your amazement is never ending. The view is nothing short of breathtaking. The rooms are furnished with everything you have at home and more. I loved the bunk bed. The kitchen is beautiful. To add to our delight, the staff was welcoming and available whenever we needed them. Don’t think twice. Just book it. You will be glad you did.
