A Room With a View

I’m very type-A, & so must be the person in charge of stocking / setting up this unit. For a long weekend, the starter bag of necessities provided (dish soap, TP, etc.) was all we needed. I usually bring a bag of extras (trash bags, cleaning supplies, laundry soap, TP), but they have you covered if you need some in a pinch. We don't wear our shoes inside, so we REALLY appreciated the tile floors and area rugs (no filthy carpets); they even have a GOOD vacuum, wet & dry Swiffer (you'll need the mopping sheets), & broom w/dustpan in the private laundry room (located OUTSIDE – separate door adjacent to the entrance of the unit). I saw some boogie boards & beach toys in there, but we didn't use them since it was April & cold. The kitchen is very well-stocked in terms of cookware, dishware, appliances (Keurig, brew pot, crock pot, blender). They provide salt/pepper, but you’ll need your own oil/spices if you plan to cook. If you have younger kids, there are children's utensils & plastic cups/plates available. There is an envelope of drawing paper & board games in the TV shelving unit. We had a LOT of fun playing Ocean City-opoly! The dice were missing, but you can use an online dice roller w/ any web browser. We appreciated the free internet access as part of the rental & the cable TV in every room! The only issue we had w/the ‘net was that my son’s Switch wasn’t able to connect (no problem for laptops, iPhone or iPad); hubby said it might be b/c it’s an older router, so we used our phones as hotspots when he was online. The view is lovely! You can pay for oceanfront, but I find this ocean view unit to be perfect. The recliner in the photo was my favorite place to relax & put my feet up! Just look at the view out the corner windows! Sitting next to the screen door to listen to the waves & watch the ocean… PERFECTION. The master shower – OMG. I never thought I could love a SHOWER, but holy smokes! If you like good water pressure, then this shower is *chef’s kiss*. Be sure to stagger your bathing if you are a large group; my kids tend to linger, & we’d run out of hot water. Wait a bit for the hot water to replenish before resuming showering rotations. The sleeping layout was nice with the novelty of the trundle bed (check other bedroom closets for extra pillows/sheets). We appreciated the 2 extra blankets; I’d suggest adding a few more to the unit so all sleepers could add an extra blanket if they’re cold. 100% recommend this unit & Seaside Vacations
