Perfect little spot

In the area for a wedding. Just needed place to get dressed and then crash. Great no frills operation. Room was clean. We felt safe. We walked to breakfast the next morning.

Great communication with the hosts. Room on the 1st floor was just right for 2 people. We were there for a week so having a mini fridge was helpful. The little lounge at the entrance had a coffeemaker, microwave and water/ice dispenser, which we and many guests used. Bathroom was small but not a big deal. Lots of parking outside the house. Overall a great stay - we will definitely be back.

Loved it, very close to downtown and the beach

Me and my wife thought it was very clean, and was in the perfect location. Definitely will stay again next time we come to Asbury

The room was very clean but it was tiny. Hall way was tiny but they had a shared kitchenette area with some supplies. Our floors were creaky and you can hear floors creak loudly as people walked upstairs too. Barely bad space in the shower and booking it had so many mistakes by VRBO and Melrose that it really tainted our experience. I booked two rooms and cancelled one (the cheaper one, 3 mins after). They cancelled the more expensive room instead and refunded me for the cheaper room. It was a mess. It was only through a lot of calls and stress did I get the refund too. I still lost money but I just stuck with it so we’d have a room for the weekend but I probably wouldn’t book with them again.

Great location—tiny room - several issues

We stayed in room 1B. I would definitely not recommend this room. It is very small. You enter the room into the bathroom area. It is set up strangely. The floor is also very slanted so the bed was very slanted. The ceiling lighting is extremely bright with no dimmer or floor or table lamps. This is clean but absolutely bare bones in the decorative and convenience department. No towel rack or shelf by the sink. No dresser only a wire shelf and hanger rack. The ice maker in the common area did not work. Also the room was advertised as having free Hulu live tv. The Hulu was logged out so I contacted the owners as per the in room directions. Incredibly they did NOT know their own password to log the TV in so we had no live TV during our entire stay during which the Olympics were on. The location is great but I personally do not think I would stay here again.

Short walk to beach

If you are looking for a room with a bathroom this is perfect. There is no kitchen/kitchenette but there is a mini fridge, which was good to have. Check in was simple and the room and building were was clean. The town is very nice. It was a short walk to a beautiful beach. Only issue - it is hard to find parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice little place

We wanted to getaway for a day or two and this was a nice little place to do that. Check in was easy, room was clean, access to the beach, restaurants, etc was short walking distance. Overall great experience.

Clean and Relaxing

We stayed there for an overnight and it was an easy check in check out process. Great location and very safe and clean. Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the TV refrigerator and hair dryer were appreciated.

Beautiful and clean close to Ocean and Asbury Park

Everything was clean and up to date. Great communication with Doug. It was so close to Asbury Park and we did a lot of walking. Definitely will stay here again!!

An unfortunate situation

I had to rebook my first trip due to a positive COVID test. Added an additional night for my rebooked trip and an emergency occurred. Requested to rebook for one night within the time frame and was not accommodated or communicated with…I had to call driving there to get the access code to enter the property. The room was not clean, did not have any hooks to hand a jacket, did not have a smoke alarm ( was missing from the unit), and guests were smoking in the rooms and in the stairs going in and out if the building.

Interesting!

You can tell this is an old house. Nothing was level, which kind of added to the charm. Location was awesome. Just a short walk to the beach. We’d stay here again but not in the room we were in. The picture was pretty deceiving, which we can understand. But the other rooms were much bigger. And our room had nowhere to put our clothes, so sadly they had to stay in our suitcase. There also should be a smoke detector in the room. But now we know which other rooms to choose from! So I’m sure we’ll be back.
