Chaos in the sun

This house was perfect for our family of 13. Even thou it rained the first few days we had a great time. This house has everything yiu need for cookong plaing games or just having fun.outdoors

The perfect spot for a getaway!

This house has everything you need to relax, spend time with family, and enjoy the gorgeous beach! The new sectional couch is so comfortable for hanging out, the dining table is perfect for large group meals, the front porch is excellent for catch-up conversations, and the kitchen has exactly what you need. The hosts are communicative, helpful, and great to work with. I’d love to stay at this house again.

Thanksgiving Family Reunion

We had a family reunion over Thanksgiving and this home accommodated quite a few people comfortably. Everything we needed for dinner was available with a kitchen well stocked. The beach was a short walk away! We will be back!!

2024 Family Vacation

We had a great week! There were 17 of us and the house fit us perfectly. The house was very clean and kitchen was stocked very well. You will not regret staying at this house!

Great beach getaway for extended family

This was a great property. The heated pool was great for allowing pool time in cooler days. The beach is fabulous and a few minutes walk. There is a handicap accessible beach entrance about 3/4 mile down the road.

Amazing family getaway!!

Our second time to OIB and My Happy Place did not disappoint. We had 13 ppl with room to spare. Excellent location, so close to beach access, and the pool was a hit with all. Everyone felt right at home. So much so, that nobody wanted to leave.

Great vacation home

This house was perfect for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. It was easy to access the beach and we enjoyed the pool and decks with ocean views. There was one small issue upon arrival but Eric communicated it to us and fixed the problem shortly after we arrived. We enjoyed our time in Ocean Isle and will be back!

Fantastic House!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this house. It is fully upgraded and very comfortable. The kitchen is a fantastic size, and the pool is one of the larger ones we’ve had. It has great access to the beach and great deck space to sit and relax. We would definitely stay here again. The owner was super easy and nice to communicate with.

Calm, relaxing just perfect!

My Happy Place was wonderful much better in person. Our family enjoy being there. The technology in the house was convenient! Love the open concept living space. Kids love the pool! We would stay there again if we vacation at Ocean Isle!

Fabulous Beach House!

We had an amazing time staying here for our family vacation. The location is really close to beach access, the pool was great and we were able to get it heated quickly and the kids loved the color changing light in the pool. It was also nice that there was beach chairs and wagon for our times out at the beach. The elevator was great for our handicapped guests. All bedrooms had bathrooms so that was a great bonus. I would book this house again and again!

The house was great and well maintained.

Everything went very well from making the reservations and checking in. The house was supplied well with a lot of beach items, kitchen was equipped great and the pool was just the right size. Location on the beach was good and the walk to the beach was about 200 yards. The beach was kept clean but high tide took a lot of it, low tide was great. Over all it was a great vacation.

Felt Right at Home!

This home is spacious & very nicely decorated with very comfortable furniture (we all loved the couch on the main floor). Right from the start it had a relaxing/easy going feel to it! It's apparent the owners put a lot of thought into what furnishings/decorations to put in their home. Quality & comfort throughout!The kitchen is very functional & we enjoyed most of our meals at the large dining room table as well as the table on the main deck with views of the ocean!Very nice pool which we used every day & the walk to the beach is very close. It was easy to go to the beach for a while, go back to the pool at the house & then take walks on the beach in the early evening. Appreciated the pool toys, beach chairs & umbrellas at the home! Nice add-on's that are not in every home such as the elevator, zoned stereo system & second fridge all of which were put to good use by us. This house really has everything you would want for a memory filled beach vacation!

This house was fantastic. Great location. Easy access to beach and great views from the front deck. Owners were so generous. We had this trip planned for 2020, but had to cancel due to travel restrictions for several in the family. Eric was kind enough to push our reservation to 2021. We hope to book again soon

Perfect Thanksgiving 2020

We travel a lot with family and friends. This was the easiest renting through VRBO and Eric ever. Home is beautiful and so functional for personal privacy as well as congregating as group. Owner very responsive. We had great time and recharged. The setup of downloading the rental guide putting all info at fingertips is great.

Fantastic Fantastic

My happy place was wonderful! So clean and with a beautiful pool and outdoor area ! Just a short (maybe 5minute) walk to beach across the street. Beach was not crowded at all. We should of read all the details but there are no tents or canopy’s allowed on the beach just umbrellas or wind tunnels. We had many kids there and it’s set up perfect. Would go again in a heartbeat👍

Family Vacation

Great stay - all family - parents in their 70's and 80's - kids in late 20's - house could not have been better - well kept, nicely appointed and exactly as advertised - proximity to beach access (less than 5 minute walk) and ocean views from second row were big positives. We had to reach out to host with one, self-inflected, issue and they responded almost immediately and problem solved. Definitely hope to return. Our thanks for a terrific week.

Sibling Reunion

4 senior siblings and our spouses had a wonderful 5 days at "My Happy Place". We haven't been all together in 5 years and it was a great place to reminisce about our youth and laugh, as well as create new memories. Everything in the description was exactly as it said it would be. No suprises! The house was large enough to gather around all together, yet there was plenty of room for privacy also. I would strongly recommend "My Happy Place" for any family or group of friends, whether young or old.

One of the best!

We really enjoyed our week at My Happy Place. This is a very well run, professional set of owners. The house was architecturally interesting and well designed. The kitchen was very well equipped, though maybe a bit more silverware and an extra dishwasher would have been nice. The double refrigerators were great. The bring your own linens and towels policy should be more evident on the house listing. This is a great first row back beach house- lots of room and a nice pool and working elevator that helped enormously. Thanks very much!
