"The front desk receptionist was kind and courteous, accommodating my request for a bigger room. In the past, there was always someone who led us to the room with suitcases, but this year, evidently, they stopped doing it. We proceeded to our room alone without any staff showing us the way. It does not matter to me, but, I think this is their cost-cutting measure."

It's also centered around food places even with some vegetarian options around. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. There's a nice little restaurant attached it too. "My husband and I stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama for one night between two parts of our trip near the Seto Inland Sea. The hotel is conveniently located near the city’s JR station and within walking distance of urban landmarks like Okayama Castle. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent — they even brought our takkyubin luggage to our room so it was waiting upon our arrival. The breakfast buffet offered a mix of regional, Japanese, and Western dishes, and it was the best breakfast we had during our trip to Japan."
