Hiking in the Vosges Mountains

We had a great stay at Oderen. The house is perfectly clean and in perfect shape. The hosts are very friendly and even understood my poor French. We would certainly stay there again any time soon.

Fantastic property and area.

My wife and I had a fabulous fortnight holiday during Aug 22 in this property. The online pictures really don't do the house justice. The bed is a UK king-size and very comfortable, the shower is good as is the induction hob cooker. The property lacks nothing at all. Outside, there is various areas to eat or relax and evening glasses of wine on the balcony with views of the valley were fantastic. The house itself is easy to find and sits above the village of Oderen. Your morning bread isn't too far away and the village has an excellent Auberge which we used both at lunchtime and at night. A really good Super U is in Fellering, which is less than a 10 min drive away. The hosts Jean-Paul and Josseline are lovely. They stay in the house next door but the design of the rental property provides separate space and privacy, with the advantage of having friendly and knowledgeable hosts next door. We are keen hikers and the property is right in the centre of countless stunning walks. That said, mountain and road cycling is popular in the area and the nearby lake attracted many kayaker and paddle boarders. Colmar and Eguisheim are 'must visit' places. We have been holidaying in France (using rental properties) for a long time and I can recommend this property and area wholeheartedly. 10/10.

Wunderbares Häuschen, sauber, gemütlich, süß, zweckmäßig und die Infrastruktur (Heizung, Wasser, Küche, etc...) funktioniert zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Chalet "Guata Luft" mit unserem Hund sehr genossen. Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles zusammen: Haus und Grundstück sind super und uneingeschränkt weiterzuempfehlen.ABER:Die Gegend um Oderen (wo das Häuschen steht), Fellering, Thann ist am sterben. Gefühlt jedes 2. Haus ist verlassen und manche Ortsteile vermitteln das Gefühl einer Geisterstadt. Viele Lokale sind dauerhaft geschlossen - auch das einzige am Ort in Laufentfernung - die anderen, die oft nur 2 oder 3 Tage die Woche geöffnet haben sind, wenn sie mal offen haben, überfüllt. Es gibt hier keine Cafes, Weinstuben o.ä. wie wir es von anderen Aufenthalten im Elsass gewohnt waren und in manchen Läden hatten wir den Eindruck, dass man hier Fremde nicht besonders mag. Das alles hat den Wohlfühlfaktor dann doch etwas gedämpft.Einen Pluspunkt möchte ich nach all den negativen Dingen dann aber doch noch erwähnen, die Wanderwege sind sehr gut ausgeschildert und markiert. Selbst Trampelpfade durch dichten Wald sind kein Problem gewesen und zum Wandern sind wir schliesslich hergekommen. So dass sich in der Summe unser Aufenthalt hier als "ganz passabeler Urlaub" werten läßt. Wegen der tristen Umgebung (wofür weder die Gastgeber noch das Häuschen eine Verantwortung tragen), werden wir hier aber nicht nochmal Urlaub machen.

Wir wurden mit einem selbstgebackenen Gugelhupf und einer Flasche Wein begrüßt. Die Vermieter sind sehr liebe und freundliche Gastgeber. Die Lage des Chalets ist traumhaft, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Hier läßt sich super Urlaub machen. Leider hat bei uns das Wetter nicht so mitgespielt, wir hatten eigentlich nur Regen.Aber wir werden wieder kommen und dann bei hoffentlich schönem Wetter dieses herrliche Fleckchen Erde geniesen. Danke an die Familie Munck.

Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben uns mit Wein und Gugelhupf empfangen. Sie haben viele Empfehlungen für Wanderungen und andere Aktivitäten bereitgestellt. Die Wanderbeschreibungen waren zum Teil laminiert und sehr hilfreich. Den Blick auf die Berge haben wir sehr genossen. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Agréable séjour

Le gîte est idéalement localisé lorsque l'on aime randonner mais aussi si l'on veut découvrir les richesses culturelles, historiques, gastronomiques (et plus encore) de cette magnifique région. Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite malgré le temps mitigé: rien ne manque au gîte, le paysage est superbe et les hôtes sont absolument charmants. Merci encore pour leur accueil sympathique!

Es ist ein liebevoll und gut ausgestattetes kleines Chalet. Nette Vermieter. Optimal für zwei Personen, die Ruhe suchen, aber auch - wenn man etwas weiter fährt - sehr schöne elsässische Orte erkunden können. Wir haben fest vor wiederzukommen.

De tres belles vacances...

Chalet tres agréable ou l'on ne manque de rien, d'une propreté impeccable et décoré avec soin. Nous avons ete accueillis avec des petites douceurs locales. Les propriétaires sont des personnes vraiment charmantes aux petits soins pour leurs locataires.

Heerlijke gîte

Wij hebben hier een zeer fijne week beleefd. De eigenaars zijn zéér gastvrije mensen en de chalet was meer dan af. Compact maar van alles voorzien. Toffe terrasjes om te relaxen en een balkonnetje waar we iedere avond de zon achter de bergen konden zien verdwijnen. Topadresje!! prachtige str

Heerlijk huisje

Leuke woning met eigen tuin en prachtig uitzicht. Het huis is met veel zorg en liefde ingericht, superschoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Hartelijk ontvangst door de eigenaren. In de directe omgeving kun je heel mooi wandelen, autotochten, maken. Leuke restaurants met streekgerechten. Zeker een aanrader!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Häuschen ist superschön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten ist komplett eingezäunt, so dass wir unseren Hund frei laufen lassen konnten. Direkt von der Haustür aus kann man loswandern. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Perfect huisje

Het huisje was perfect. Een zeer comfortabel huisje met alle benodigdheden in het huis. Een zeer vriendelijke verhuurder met zijn vrouw. Ik heb al vele huisjes gehuurd, maar dit is echt top.
