"The hotel check-in area was a bit difficult to find and we were also unsure where to park. Luckily a staff member was in the carpark and showed us where to go. Directions of when we could enter or leave the carpark were very confusing The room was clean and staff very friendly. Could open the window for fresh air. Breakfast was free, but pretty basic."

"This was an emergency stay when the train lines shut down because of heavy rains. This property was across the beautiful lily fields in bloom at the time. One interesting thing about the Akita Castle Hotel is that it is a repository for famous artists and artworks. It has an original Picasso! Access to the airport is easy as there is a local bus which stops at the hotel."
