Comfort Inn Sandusky

"Absolutely Outstanding Hospitality – Thank You! My wife and I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Sandusky for our honeymoon, and I honestly cannot say enough about the incredible experience we had. We arrived around 11:00 PM, and the gentleman working the front desk went far beyond what we ever expected. When he learned that we were there celebrating our honeymoon, he went out of his way to make our stay special by upgrading us to a Jacuzzi Suite. That alone was an incredibly kind gesture, but what really stood out was how genuinely he cared about making sure we had a perfect stay. Even though it was late at night, he was welcoming, professional, incredibly helpful, and made us feel like our honeymoon actually mattered to him. People like this are what make a hotel memorable. He didn't just do his job; he created an experience we will remember for years to come. I sincerely hope management sees this review and recognizes him for the outstanding employee he is. In an industry where customer service can sometimes feel routine, he reminded us of what true hospitality looks like. To the gentleman working the front desk that night: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You helped make the beginning of our honeymoon even more special, and my wife and I are incredibly grateful. We will never forget the kindness you showed us. Comfort Inn Sandusky is lucky to have someone like you on their team!"

"The property was lovely, breakfast was plentiful and not expensive. My BIG complaint, though, is not with the Inn; it's with Expedia, who clearly didn't do their part on this reservation. When we arrived to check in, the hotel had no record of the reservation thru Expedia. They said they had been experiencing a number of problems with reservations made thru Expedia. Fortunately for us, it was not a busy time for the Inn and they were able to accomodate us with a fine room for the same rate we reserved thru Expedia. But if that had not been the case, we would have been screwed. Expedia needs to get their act together."
Cedar Point's Express Hotel

"This hotel is very close to Cedar Point (a 2 minute drive) which made it very easy to access the park. We also loved the hour early access time that came with staying at this property. That extra hour was essential for us to ride rollercoasters that had very long wait lines. We did not use the pool, but many guests were using it. The only complaint we had was that the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night while we were at this hotel."

"The hotel has a great location for walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars. Extremely close to Rocket Arena and the Cleveland Guardians baseball park. Overall decent hotel in the heart of bars and restaurants."

"I have never been in a hotel with cleaner rooms, especially restrooms! We ate in the restaurant and had a great meal with great service. Everyone was exceptionally kind and helpful. The only issue we had was the $20.00 Destination Fee added to both my and my friend's check out bill. This was the first we had heard of this fee as it was not discussed at check in. If it was on the website, I missed it. We were under the impression use of the pool/spa, coffee in the room, water at check-in was complimentary. The person at the check-out desk told us the $20.00 covers that. As some constructive feedback, I offer I would rethink that large fee and make it very clear at check in. Thank you, though, for a lovely stay. I'll be back!"

"The staff are very nice, a valet guy was not helpful with luggage after we said we were self parking, but maybe they don’t help with luggage. The front desk did call for a guy to help with luggage so that was good. Excellent beds and great bathroom. The shower heads need to be updated, it felt like the water coming out was trying to rip your hair out. Quiet rooms and very relaxing. Great location for eating or taking the street car."
