A lot of little details along with the exceptionally nice staff: curtains that overlap to black out the room; great shower with really hot water; nice little free ice cream treat by the Onsen; cheap and easy to use laundry facilities.

Really great spot that was close to the train. Was staying here for a day trip to Naoshima. Very new hotel with lots of nice touches. The onsen was in great condition, loved the free ice creams and morning drinks as well as some nice soft pillows on request. Didn’t try the late night ramen but a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Liked the design of the room - wash basin was located in room and bathroom has a ledge where you can sit and shower. The pillows were comfortable and firm. Would have preferred a firmer mattress.

Best Dormy Inn so far...

The room has a big refligerator and microwave as well as big shelf where you can organize your small things in your luggege nicely. Quite convenient ! Probably the best Dormy Inn out of at least 10 others so far I experienced in Japan.

Great hotel with small but functional bedroom and many amenities. Free noodles were being offered and hot drinks etc in the happy hour. Great staff. Close to the train station and walkable to attractions like the river, Okayama Castle and Kenrokuen Gardens.

Dormy Inn Rocks!

Location was a easy 10 minute walk from the train station. Check in was a breeze, staff super helpful and all this while there was some drama going on with a European guest. The room was generous by Japanese standards and the AC was perfect. During my stay, the housekeeping staff was very attentive.The rooftop onsen was wonderful. I have come to count on Dormy Inn properties as a go-to in Japan.

This is a very large chain of hotels throughout Japan with accommodations of differing categories such as Express and Premium. If you stayed in one, you know pretty much what to expect in others. These are comfortable. The staff is polite and they are great value. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices and the spa very nice as well. I would stay here again. It's located just a few minutes walking from the Okayama JR station. And, it's a 25 minute walk to the Garden and Castle. Also, it's very close to many restaurants. Recommended.

New, clean hotel near JR Okayama Station. You can't beat the location: Lots of shops and restaurants around such as Aeon Mall, Ichiban-gai (underground shopping area at the station), Takashimaya Department store. The Nishigawa Ryokudo Park (canal area) is nearby. Also, you can easily go to Okayama castle by using the street car. This popular hotel chain is known for its free hot spring, popsicles, and yonaki soba (ramen), in which my family didn't show any interest. What I loved about this hotel is its laundry area. It was so clean, easy to use, and functional. It really helped our stay!

It's a short walk to Okayama station. The hotel onsen uses Pola and Refa products. Probiotics drinks are available in the morning, ice-cream, and ramen are available in the evening - all free. Beddings are comfortable and rooms are relatively spacious and very quiet. There are toiletries for kids. Some good restaurants within walking distance - should go once they open or they will fill up very quickly with customers. Make reservations for dinner. It's worth staying one night in Okayama, visit Kurashiki (30 min train) and Castle.

The hotel is excellent. Free drinks and free ramen at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a bit far from Okayama station, but it's walkable.
