Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce petit bungalow construit sur pilotis. Nous recherchions la tranquillité, nous l’avons eue ! Pas de voisins, pas de trafic, nous étions absolument seuls et ça nous allait parfaitement. Evidemment, si vous cherchez l’animation et souhaitez être au plus près des commerces et restaurants, ce n’est pas forcément le bon endroit pour vous. Pour quitter le bungalow, il faut appeler un bateau taxi à l’aide d’un drapeau pour se rendre soit à Old Bank (où il y a 2 restos très corrects) soit sur Bocas (où vous pouvez faire vos courses et booker des expéditions). Le bungalow est assez grand, bien équipé, mais le plus gros point fort est son ponton qui donne sur le meilleur spot de snorkeling qu’on ait vu à Bocas. A moins de 6m du bungalow, des coraux et une faune aquatique de toute beauté. On plongeait matin et soir ! JJ et Suyi qui s’occupent de l’accueil sont très disponibles pour aider via Whatsapp. Merci à eux ! Attention toutefois aux moustiques, dès le soir ils sont plutôt voraces…

This place is extremely secluded and not for everyone. If you are the type of traveller, such as myself, who loves to try new foods and go on adventures while on vacation, I would not recommend this place. The location of this property is situated on top of water and you cannot access any restaurants or stores unless you pay for a water taxi and go to Boca or to the other side of the island. We booked the room with AC however we did not know that the property runs on solar power, and that using the AC was not recommended, we learn the hard way after the generator was triggered multiple times throughout the night and it was located just outside our window. It sounded like a massive 18 wheeler was starting its engine every 15 minutes. We did not get a good sleep at all. The toilet in the room was very difficult to use as it was very close to the wall. I also had many clusters of bites on my legs and back that I got overnight. After some Google searches, I found that my bites resembled bedbugs bites. I will say that the owners or property manager provided us with an option of moving to another room so that we would not be bothered by the generator at night however, it is too hot to have no AC during dry season in Panama. If you are a laid-back traveller, don’t mind just sitting around tanning and swimming and tend to buy groceries to cook your own food while on vacation then this might be the place for you, but it really didn’t suit the type of travellers that we are.
