“Our apartment was perfect: very clean inside, two bathrooms, everything worked perfect, beds very comfortable, inside the ancient walls and easy to get to everything. The only minor issues were first entering the steps up were dirty and then the door lock was fussy. But then walking in was perfect and I have no problem giving 5 stars.”

“Clean room and very close to everything ”

“We booked a room with balcony and stayed for 2-night. The room has a very comfy design and is maintained in good condition. Everyday they arrange room clean-up. The Scalini Palace is located in an excellent location, very close to the Main Street, taking us just a few steps to Stradun. It’s esp convenient if you want to take nice photos of old town in very early morning. No lift, same as many other hotels/apartments in the old town, so you have to walk upstairs to the floor you stay.……

“I had a wonderful stay at La Vita e Bella in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. My room (Room 1 at La Vita e Bella IV) was recently renovated, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches. It had a small espresso maker with pods, a teapot, a tiny safe, and even fresh fruit. The bed was so comfortable, with soft white robes, luxurious towels, and a beautiful bathroom featuring both a large tub and separate shower. The mini fridge was stocked with still and sparkling water, and the whole space felt elegant and……

“Great location in Old Town. Clean and spacious room, nice amenities, comfortable bed. Replenished our coffee, and other sundries, with clean towels daily. We were able to store our luggage upon an early arrival before check in, and they assisted with carrying it up the steep flights of stairs (the only drawback, but we discovered you can't get away frrom that in Croatia!)”

“The location is incredible. Right off the stradun on the wide street. You couldn’t throw a pin in a better location. The host and staff are very accommodating and providing shuttle service back to the airport for me. The room was clean and had what I needed. I’d definitely stay here again. ”

“Only downside is bathroom has glass walls that you can pull drapes for privacy but sadly no ceiling. If you need privacy to do your business it might not be the best choice. Other than that it is a great space up several flights of stairs.”

Half those nights there were large concerts in the Stradun (including on New Years Eve), but with the windows closed we slept through the noise. “The hotel is located right inside the old town and is just a short walk to the nearest exit at Pile Gate. Check-in is at another location but is close enough. The room is a bit small but is clean and well equipped with good quality amenities. Although breakfast was not included as an option, there is no shortage of restaurants nearby.”

“Excellent communication and location! Steps are everywhere in Old Town . It was great for us to enjoy the space and food & fun just outside the entry! Sloped ceiling so if you are really tall you could bump your head. Lovely owners !”

“The La Vita Bella group excels at making your stay feel special. Even though our room was small, they went above and beyond to provide the extras (robe, slippers, fruit, coffee/tea). The space was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring (and walking up 100+ steps from the main avenue). The staff were extremely polite and friendly and very helpful. It was great to have a space to store luggage with them. Would highly recommend as a place to stay in Old Town.”
